I'm in love with the queen's dress. It's a masterpiece which truly suits the character. You can tell that the ones who created it knew what is needed on the stage, as there is both the lovely detail of the silver line on her skirt (which looks gorgeous when she is moving), as well as that crown (which even the ones sitting in the back will be able to see). @BloodErotica Finally! You're absolutely right. Diana act terrific and obviously has a perfect pronunciation in German. But her "picchettato" is not correct. She is too young yet. In "picchettato" every single note MUST be separated. It is certainly the most difficult act of singing for a soprano. Believe it or not, Giuliana Serra is the Mistress of picchettato. Look at his moth, so widely open. Her perfect respiration, the synchronous movement of his diaphragm. Perfect.

@rocchio91 E' il modo in cui gestisce il tempo che è fantastico. Non ha fretta, l'orchestra non si smazza a seguire eventuali sbalzi. Verissimo che il personaggio e il vero significato del testo è meno sentito qui che in altre interpretazioni. Ma a livello tecnico: 2.12 secondi. Ho cercato per molto ma una voce meglio modulata per un pezzo di quella melodiosità non l'ho trovata se non in lei. L'emisdione fells Damrau, pur impressionante e travolgente, é piú vicina ad un gorgheggiato veloce che al vero picchettato. Impareggiabile, però la sua forza interpretativa. Ipnotica la mimica facciale. Stupefacente la presenza scenica. Gli anni a l'affinamento della tecnica di appoggio e stacco del picchettato porteranno la Daumrau alla PERFEZIONE.

Altro particolare fa osservare nella Serra sono i movimenti della bocca, e in particolare delle labbra, che sono parte integrante dell'emissione dei picchi. La perfezione assoluta si otterrebbe creando un ibrido che avesse la voce e la tecnica vocale della Serra e tutto il resto della Damrau. In antichità questo brano veniva eseguito con un tempo MOLTO più lento di adesso, proprio per staccare integralmente ogni picco vocale. Ricercare per credere. ;-)

Proprio perchè stacca completamente ogni picco sonoro dal precedente. Osservate i movimenti del suo diaframma per capire. Così si esegue il "picchettato", che fa parte della tecnica del belcanto italiano. L'esecuzione più fluida della Damrau si ottiene tenendo sempre sostenuto il diaframma e variandone leggermente la tensione. Può risultare strano ai neofiti del canto, ma è MOLTO più facile eseguire una sequenza di note acute veloci, che un puro "picchettato". (segue)

Più sotto qualcuno dicevs di preferire la Daumrau alla Serra perchè quest'ultima in quest'aria"stacca le note". Si tratta tecnicamente di "picchettato", cioè ogni nota è un picco sonoro staccato dal precedente, che deve essere tenuto s tono e a tempo. La Daumrau vince totalmente per recitazione, padronanza scenica e, chiaramente, pronuncia del tedesco, che è la sua lingua. La Serra vince invece proprio nella tecnica di emissione del "picchettato" (che è micidialmente difficile), (segue)

@athenabooks everything is right, the "bravo!" is genderless, but we italians do not use it :) we shout "bravo!" to a man, "brava!" to a woman, "bravi!" to a group of men, "brave!" to a group of women. but since the genderless "bravo!" is known and spread worldwide, it is totally okay to use it like that.

@ Vincenzo -When bravo! is used as an exclamation it is genderless, however there is an adjective in italian (bravo, brava) but there is also the interjection and should used only as Bravo! It is like in Spanish you have Viva! as an interjection and also the adjective vivo,viva but you don't use the adj. when using it as an exclamation. for instance "VIva el general Villa!" and not Vivo el general Villa!
