Im totally new to the whole Deus Ex series but i must say im gonna check this game out from day one. Also im glad this doesnt have multiplayer as you really cant beat a long, complex and exciting single player experience. Star Wars the phantom menace on ps1 springs to mind. Unfortunatly as many have stated the only thing developers are interested in now is multiplayer and although it can be great at times i really dont want to share my gaming experience with a bunch of idiotic kids and morons.

i dont think the voice of adam really fits the character, should be more deep and cool sounding, adams voice is obviously faked and forced, just dosnt sound natural.....and that spoils some a very important element and feel in the game

Having said that, I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first, but I grew to like the voice very much. @Stedal1978 Yes I thought the same. There is a method for voice actors and radio announcers, that you can use to make your voice sound deeper. (It's like you're whispering and you only release the deep sounds of your voice) But this is the real voice of Elias Toufexis. And he is also a gamer. :)

The story is nuts, based on the beta they effed with Adam in the womb...he's the one ahead of the curve. Meg knows this based on what the pilot said "She always said you'd take to augmentations well" Hence why he doesn't require Neuropozyne. The guys in the beginning are working on nano augmentation that leads into the next game and they require her research to complete the biochip. I'm not to familiar with the original story very well but I'm guessing Adams DNA is used to create JC denton.

I bound right shift to jump as I use the arrow keys to play, it the set I am best at using. As for RPG elements, they are introduced after the initial missions.

@LegacyRO3 I enjoyed ME, but honestly found it disappointing. It reminded me of a shittier Deus Ex. Even Invisible War had some better moments/a cooler story. I admit I haven't played Mass Effect 2, and I never finished mass effect one (I stopped at the invasion of Citadel), but the story was pretty average and cliche'd, The whole moral choice thing pioneered by Deus Ex was just not taken proper advantage of. There are few surprises, few tough decisions, etc. I think you'll like this game more

@LegacyRO3 i've finished both ME 1, ME 2 and all of the DLCs, but tbh, the main storyline is mediocre, sure it has a cinematic gameplay, innovative combat system & brilliant voice acting. but the main plot is cliche : "you role as a hero to save the world". thats all. it doesnt have a brilliant storytelling compared to games such as Deus Ex, PlaneScape : Torment, & Metal Gear Solid.

and one thing you need to remember, the first Deus Ex is the father of all shooter-RPGs, including ME & Fallout 3

@LegacyRO3 I still say mass effect 1 was not-quite-amazing, but almost so. I almost beat it, but didn't because my harddrive died on me and I didn't feel like playing through the whole game again. I've heard that 2 is better, so we'll see about that. Whether or not one is better than the other may be a matter of personal choice, but the mass effect concept of a role-playing shooter withconsequences behind your decisions was pioneered by DX. In the end I'm just hoping for a good game.

It looks good, but I think it's abandoned a lot of the things that made the original Deus Ex such a hit. It seems more linear and focused on shooting, rather than stealth. Still, this is essentially the tutorial level and this is, after all, a beta. There should be plenty of time for things to improve.

@omac256 Deus Ex HR you should be able to run fine(console port). It's not that demanding, assuming it stays somewhat true to the leak beta. For BF3, I'm not too sure. You can probably get away with low and medium with adjusted settings.

Deus Ex HR is coming with FOV config by the way, which is amazing. It's definitely better for PC, I mean a 94 from PC Gamer is major.
