i think its like yellow paper tape so the green doesnt show through

in Belgium children make paper flowers to sell on the beach - you can buy the flowers with shells

we never use glue (wouldn't last with the sand on the beach) but ironthread (martine oostende)

This is not origami, traditional origami uses square papers and does not involve cutting, this is a chinese artform based on Chinese paper cutting.
