  • Not hiring someone because they worship Satan is religious discrimination.

  • So judging people by their Facebook... it's very mature.... really??... how could you judge someone by something so superficial like a facebook profile?... or a photo?.... I'm done with this video... I'm so happy I don't have facebook... ugh... that guy is just a stalker by the way...

  • This is why you tweak your name on facebook, another problem is there are so many people on facebook with my name

  • what a prick... ya just need to make your photos private. Maybe its a big deal to some people but i mean really...

  • This isn't just happening at potential job sites! There are colleges/professors who are looking up students too!

  • @macrent2 well can dey do it to me even if i set it on private?cuz only ma friends could see ma page

  • @macrent2 A graduate college professor told me that she denies grade curves for pass/fail line students if they find inappropriate things like that on their facebook pages. People need to wake up. Broadcasting information to the world has never been synonymous to "privacy" and it never will. Common sense is getting harder to find in my generation. God help us!

  • @InnateWhisper I live in Indiana and there have been stories of people being fired for simply having their status switched as gay, lesbian and bisexual on their profile or having someone of the same sex listed as their partner or who they are in a relationship with! Sick, but totally legal here in Indiana.

  • Work and home are not the same place. If you're a good employee, you don't show up stoned or drunk, then you have no right to tell people what they can and can't do. Fuck the corporate world is trying to remove all of our rights, isn't it? -_- Can't even post our own pictures on a social website.

  • WTF VORK?

  • work and home are two different places. I have a drink or two on the weekends, and I'm sure you'll see a pic of me on my FB with a drink in my hand, but that doesn't mean I'm not a hard worker. I am a VERY hard worker. This shit is why my privacy settings don't show anything but my name and profile pic. People are too judgemental.

  • @videogamester07 i agree with you, but the thing is though, and i get that you were joking, i actually am against authority, but i have to say there are limits, though. If you drink beer, smoke, i think the problem arises when you go to far and dance on a bar topless, which shows you have no self control and are not mature enough to handle a job. With the teacher thing, i had a lacrosse coach who had a facebook, posted pictures with a beer in her hand and she got fired

  • @videogamester07 actually if you put it on the internent, then you make thoose pictures, videos for the world to see; you put them out there, so all you have is yourself to blame. By the way, if you are suing someone, then you see the lawyer getting drunk at a party, would you hire him?

  • @LeeJ4337 really, tell that the cheerleading coach that put pictures of herself online and then deactivated her account, then when a parent searched her name, thoose pictures came up

  • @videogamester07 so if you post pictures of yourself half drunk, passed out topless, you would say thats okay, just because it is your personal life.I am the daughter of cops and you make me piss in my pants from laughing so hard.

  • @videogamester07 yhea but the problem arises when she works at a highschool and when kids see that, they think, ohhh thats cool, and they think they can get away with stuff like that. Trust me, i have it happen at my school.

  • @LeeJ4337 once pictures are on the internent, they are at there forever, just like that cheerleading coach who posted nude pictures of herself online and she deleted them, but the school found the pictures while searching her name and it turns out that some one actually posted thoose pictures on another website. Trust me, just because you delete your account, does not mean your information is not still out there. I am the daughter of cops, so i should know.

  • @videogamester07 when you also post those pictures, that means you are also untrustworthy. 24/7 emotionless robot, come one, are you serious. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are soooo over excagerating here that you do not even know

  • @videogamester07 really obviously you sound young. Sooo depressing that todays youth does not understand if you get hired by a boss, you represent their job, and if you want to act like a slut...go ahead....get drunk...just know that you are not job material. When you post thoose pictures online, if you are a drunk, then that means you are unreliable. Please you are probably still in colledge and i am 16 and still more mature than you will ever be.

  • It's called using privacy settings - post what you want but don't let people like employers see it. If they are able to break my settings and hack in, then I don't care what they see because I wouldn't associate with someone who hacked in anyway.

  • well what if someon on a child molestor list and applied for a daycare job....wouldent u feel like shit if u missed that?

  • @wevil28000 they wouldn't miss that. they backround check you.

  • @videogamester07 Exactly...

That guy is a sad victim of is own personal workaholic, people profiling, probably family neglecting, and so on, hell of a life.

It's really sad, but funny at the same time to sit back, watch these self proclaimed elite people, speak and act as if they're so much better than everyone else because of what they get done at the office. It's really pathetic to see a person who's entire life revolves around work, and it's clear he has no personal, or social life at all.

  • @phorse fine if you want to get drunk, post provocative pictures of yourself on the internent go ahead...he actually probably is better than thoose people passed out drunk on the sofa half naked. If you want a professional career, you have to act and be professional; and that means not to post innapropriate pictures of yourself online, you are representing his job when he hires you.

  • @phorse no social life, no he has friends, he probably takes works hard so he can earn money to soport himself. You are still a child and not have yet to grasp the morals and values of adults. I am 16 and more mature than you will ever be. Go ahead be a total drunk, idiot with no self respect, just know that is all you will ever be.

  • Dr. Phil just says what the majority of the boring & lame Americans want to hear

  • @videogamester07 I didn't mean it in a context of this video's topic, I meant it in general

  • Why the fu have i started watching Dr Phil now?

  • facebook IS a mistake

  • Why would you want to put pictures of yourself doing any of that on Facebook? People just do that for attention!

  • just untag pics

  • @Juicygirl961 once pictures are on the internent, they are at there forever, just like that cheerleading coach who posted nude pictures of herself online and she deleted them, but the school found the pictures while searching her name and it turns out that some one actually posted thoose pictures on another website. Trust me, just because you delete your account, does not mean your information is not still out there. I am the daughter of cops, so i should know

  • so what, i smoke blunts and work at an office. hell, i smoke blunts at lunch sometimes!

  • i was just having a conversation with my friend about this a she said ohh no one should care freedom of speech and i said have fun living on the streets

  • DanisAces, you're part of the problem. You seem to think you can generalize all people who choose to post something on Face book that can be considered inappropriate in corporate America as a degenerate. How naive and simple you are. People like you and other Politically correct neo-Nazis are the biggest reason for the decline of our freedoms and first amendment rights since McCarthyism. The sad thing is, only the devoid of individual thinkers, like yourself cannot see that.

  • @TheFliphog soooo, putting pictures of yourself topless while holding a beerjug is professional, oh because i was here under the impression that is wasnt sorry for the mistake.

  • The only people who have any reason to disagree with this guy are the degenerates who broadcast the stupid shit they do 1) as if anybody gives a damn and 2) without thinking logically for one second about taking some responsibility for themselves. If you try not to be so delusionally self-important, you may just recognize the logic in connecting one's personal life to their work life. Don't troll just because you want to be stupid without consequence.

  • Yet you know some of these corporate suits did something not so straight in their past. Only difference is there was no internet or cell phone cameras in their youth.

  • @WEOT62

Or they practiced the wisdom not to publicize it.

  • If you have to put picture of yourself online, put only nice and peaceful ones.

  • Aslong as employees turn up to their respective occupations and act professionally, then I don't see what the problem is.

  • Comment removed

  • dr phill thinks hes god what a homo hes not even a real doctor lol

  • @TheMrpalid

    you're ugly

  • Thumbs up if you don't have Facebook or if you regret getting Facebook

  • LOL I love how as soon as Dr Phil runs out of words they just start clapping, his minions are well trained

  • "face book and myspace" :D ha ha myspace lmao

  • @videogamester07 they can easily hire legit hacker that are in firms to check you out (PEOPLE ARE SO NIEVE!)

  • Has any of these idiots heard of putting a profile on PRIVATE??

  • @arise212 really think that helps? haha ignorant boy/girl ^^

  • @bipseh yes it does. If a profile is on private, people cant see anything, except for maybe your default pic. Just dont put anything dumb on the default pic and your fine

  • @arise212 ah yeah people like we can't trace it indeed. but what is on the facebook may be on private.. but can be checked by ofc facebook itself and maybe by companies as well, for a little price. Who knows :)

  • @arise212 I am a daughter of cops and my parents deal with idiots like you all the time. Just because you put your facebook on private, a friend that you have may be friends with that persons cousin, and you happen to be friends with that same person. That second person was tagged in the cousins photo, the cousin drinking, well there you go.

  • I am a corrections officer but i have friends who are criminals . Does that mean i will take their side if they come to the prison i work at ? NO . It just means i grew up with guys who decided to join a gang .

  • Thats why you use a fake name on these websites LOL . If my boss knew i was friends with members of the mongols motorcycle club , they wouldn't have hired me . I use a fake name .

  • Just another for of GEO Slavery people prying into your personal life, people migrated to the United States to get away from Governments and Companies from opening your mail and knowing every move you make. Well welcome to North America someone is always watchiing you. Its absoloutley degrading and humiliating.

  • @videogamester07 its not that hard to hack somebody's account

  • OUCH but true !

  • Private and professional life are completly seperate, this guy is a cunt

  • thats sad...people judging you over FB....heck i wouldnt tell a job interviewer i had a FB:P

  • @videogamester07 You're correct when it comes to your average jobs and careers, but the police have full access to all your picture as well as anything you have deleted from it. Nothing will be used against you unless you are going to be convicted of something and they want to use that evidence as a judgement of your character. Or if you want to apply to the police force in general. Good luck. A picture of you smoking a bong or completely wasted is worse then getting a speeding ticket to them.

  • Smoking Bluntz With My Homies coming out of a white mouf doesnt really sound rite :D

  • He's one to talk about a that person having no maturity, judgement, and professionalism. I'm pretty sure that it's immature to judge a person from what a virtual profile says about them. That's like judging a book by its cover. Plus, if that person doesn't bring their life into work, then it's fine.

  • What the hell is this even about?

Facebook is a social place, where you post things about your personal life to share with friends and family. Regardless to how I spend my weekends away from work, if a company turns me down for an interview because there's a picture of me drunk at a party last year on my Facebook, then they've got to get their priorities right. Facebook is not where you should go to look for potential employees as well as checking out applicants, this is ridiculous.

  • @xstefferzx It is ridiculous. However, the only person who loses out is the person who posts this kind of stuff. The company will find someone else who wants the job... they don't care if you find it morally right or wrong if they look you up.

  • @Kathryn285 There is such a thing as a privacy setting so you can only have your Facebook Friends see anything on your profile past your name and main picture. If anyone else wants to see anything else, they have to become your Facebook Friend to gain access. I know mines is private, so I don't have a problem with this.

  • @xstefferzx Yes, I am aware of that... but not every one makes their profile private. And I am not arguing whether or not it is moral or good to look up a potential employee, or if the employee followes through with appropriate settings on their facebook account. It's about whether or not employers check out that person online. And they do.

  • @xstefferzx 100% agree ..for me I try very hard to keep work separate from my Facebook. Work is work and life is life. How did emplyers like that ever employ people before they could check on people's Facebook first?!? So much for employing people without any bias etc.

  • @xstefferzx yes they do, if you post it, then that picture is there for all to see, if you dont want your emplorer to see it, dont post it you dumb dumb. Besides you have no concept of how the job world really works, i am 16 and more mature than you will ever be.

  • @live4rock101 Fail troll is fail. gtfo my internets.

  • oh yes, your suppose to be serious on facebook -__-

  • This is why I don't have a Facebook.

  • @kimberlymarie21990 Account Settings...check the little dot that says Private.

  • But if they see something really odd and way off different like u worship satin or u like to kill etc then thats different.

  • @dragon143143 Everyone has a right to worship whatever you want...i mean...loving Satan doesn't make you a bad lawyer or accountant right?...RIGHT?!

  • @thehornypuppy point

  • I do not agree with this guy all the way. Its it as if they are saying that you have to be serious all the time. There is a time to be serious and professional and a time were you can just relax and have fun. They would realize that facebook and myspace is about ur out of work life. Just cuz u have a pic for example of you drunk or you say your number one priority is weed don't mean anything when it comes to the job world.

  • @dragon143143 People put that stuff on Facebook for attention.

  • @videogamester07 your facebook? this is the internet. nothing is private

  • You know what he means.

  • Am I the only one who avoids Disgracebook and Cryspace?

  • @1RadicalOne i recently deleted mine, too stupid

  • @1RadicalOne yes

  • Actually, no. I have received two PMs and one comment reply here from similarly exasperated ex-users.

  • It's almost like people are becoming internet peeping-toms. By the time this new generation is in the business world almost everyone will have at least one vulgar or incriminating picture or video or Facebook post. It won't even matter in the next few decades.

  • @TMcBagginspwnz

No he isn't; he's saying you can do whatever you want, he just isn't going to hire your dopey ass.

    Perfectly fine, perfectly legal.

  • Worshipping Satan? What's wrong with that? Dr. Phil you are guily of religious discrimination, sir. Wow @ the level human society has come to. A prejudiced society where everyone is guilty before being proven innocent!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @apollomiami83 WEST MEMPHIS 3 are doing life over rumors of satanic worship. Its not what the Country has came to, if you were caught worshing Satan in the 1800s there a good chance you would be killed!

  • True indeed scum it's just ridiculous the things Dr. Phil says!!!!

  • I have a great idea what about employees searching their employers criminal background records. As employees we ought to know who we are working for. For example, take the recent BP Oil Spill incident. I would never work for BP Oil considering their lack of protective constraints with the environment. Someone needs to develop software so that employees can start checking up on employers. I don't want to work for a pedophile even if he is a C.E.O. of a company.

  • Lol @ smoking blunts with my homies. I definitely need to hire that guy to my record label. Yo I am looking to hire someone at Atheos Reocords, LLC. Holla at me!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have an employment opportunity available at my company. It's a hip-hop record label; so, I am looking to build a street team of professionals to help me make my business a success. I am looking for Public Relations Counselors, Marketing Representatives, Lawyers, Songwriters, e.t.c. Send inquiries to Atheos Records, LLC. As long as you got an Associates degree I will hire you as an independent contractor. Applicants who live in Miami, FL need only apply!!!!

  • "Private"?? Companies hire consultants all the time - to train their employees how to "search" Facebook, even when they are set to private. There IS NO PRIVACY on the Internet!! Think you're safe because you don't allow your photos to be tagged? Companies and Universities are using face recognition software .... Best advice - do not post what you wouldn't want your teacher, employer, or mother to see.

  • @videogamester07 Actually.. regardless of the fact that your profile is set to private.. software exists that allows employers to see anything youve EVER posted on the internet.. and when you accept terms and conditions to use software online,.,. you sign your rights away and google who also runs all of the social networking sites collects all of your info..

  • this employer wants his employees to be robots

    no private lives

    why americans employers are stupid?

  • @alaanees obviously you would be a person who would post pictures of themselves detting drunk topless on a table dancing around. Go ahead, do it, see how many people will hire you then. Be a free spirit. I am 16 and more mature than you will ever be;i am the daughter of cops, and my parents see people like you all the time.

  • @live4rock101

infact the way you talk sounds very immature

you obviously didn't break your virginity yet :)

  • @gardongabaron why would i want to? i do want to be a tramp and get pregnant and ruin my life, you serious? I am not a tramp like you.

  • @live4rock101

    haha

i was expecting that , listen you still a teenager , i understand how you feel and react at this age

and yeah you acting like a robot listening to everything your parents say

which is kinda stupid in a way

cuz your not free thinker you just fallow what cops said

cops don't think they just obey the orders

now that reminds me of robocop lol

    btw i'm a man not a woman :)

like dr.phill used to say ...you gotta grow up!!!

  • @gardongabaron really i do not listen to everything my parents say okay. Just becasue they are cops, does not mean they dont have their own minds. I believe in Transcendentalism inventedby Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thereou. For example, my parents believe that marriage is just between man and women, while i disagree. By the way, there is a major difference between following the law because of morals, not just because it is the law. And so you think should have sex at 16

  • @live4rock101

damn you sound like a sexy geek

    looool

  • @live4rock101

    search about sex benefits

one of the benefits is to relax your brain

then you won't feel like attacking people back with your sharp comments :)

  • Hey videogamester07

You are one dumb ignorant idiot for thinking that facebook is anything even close to secure

  • I think it's good to check out facebook and myspace. I wouldn't to hire an employee who calls in sick with a hangover.

  • Dr. Phil fans :D

  • Well it's not private until you set it to "private"...

  • I completely agree would you hire someone who smokes weed and makes a ass of them self it says something about the company and those who hired the idiot,

  • @bgrimsey157 yes i would hire somebody who smokes weed as long as he wasnt an incompetent dumb ass

  • i think thats total crap to be honest if a person wants to smoke dope and post it on facebook its there own decision as long they dont bring it to work with them and i dont smoke pot or even drink but i did enjoy how doctor phil right away jumped to kids and protecting them from people who smoke pot or watever he was basically targeting parents which is a majority of the audience and people watching the show to me dr phil is a con artist

  • I'm sure Vinnie at his tattoo parlour won't make judgements on people for what they're like outside of working hours too..

  • that's why theres privacy setting idiots

  • why does no one tlk about myyearbok ppl have crazier shit on there.

  • that is sort of like private stuff...and it's like sort of like stalking...i mean it's illegal, we can't do it...so why can you?

  • @videogamester07 As I see, you have a lot to hide XD.

  • LMaO Smoking Blunts with my Homies. LOL

  • @AeonRequiem what's your point? Just repeating a line and attaching some illiterate noob slang just makes you look stupid and retarded.

  • @AeonRequiem Should of put "reviewing cannabis with my associates.."

  • @FuckYouPayMeTV Lol. I think if he had said that he would have gotten the job.

  • Lmao, these are some of the reasons I don't have FB... XP

  • Comment removed

  • i totally agree with this guy. i mean going to a party isnt terrible. but i wouldn't hire someone who gets crazy drunk to where they cant control what they do

  • @ConstantineHayden Someone has anger issues.

  • @Jdrizzz i totally peed my pants laughing at her/his comment too hahaha XD

  • It's very possible to be a good worker, yet enjoy partying on your own time.

If personal lives had any correlation to performance at work, I don't think anyone would get hired.

  • So what they are saying is you aren't allowed a social life.

  • @videogamester07

But remember one thing, as soon you post a picture or a video on facebook or where ever, you lost control. Good friends right now will become strangers, or sometimes worse.

And in your life you will have too much moments thinking, how in earth could i be that stupid acting that way.

Don't think you are safe, don't let a photo or a video haunt you for the rest of your ilfe.

Don't trust facebook for your privacy. Just don't post it is not funny it is stupid.

    Trust me :)

  • Shelling out cash on Farmville is worthless. Just follow the brand-new guide from freshfarmvilleguideXcom (replace X with . ) and you will level quickly, and have far better items compared with the competition.

  • Wow thats stupid people have socials lives if there is a pic of me at a party drinking beer does it say im irresposible no it says i like to have fun

  • A better way to say it would've been, "One's personal life OUGHT NOT TO affect their business life..."

Hiring (and even interviewing) people is a gamble; if you are an employer, you are going to try to shift the bets in your favor as much as you can. I don't think it would be right to go mining for info that the person hasn't made public, but if it's myspace or facebook, it's fair game. Firing an already hired person with a good track record for something off-job is iffy...layoff perhaps.

  • If i say "im falling free tomorrow" people are gonna assume me as suicidal... but im actually going skydiving

  • how do recruiters get access without the person's knowledge unless he/she would add the recuiter?

  • @goingplaces11 they'll make a fake account, theres also software that lets you see the photos of private accounts

  • @wanageeska

Narcissism is big among American youths.

  • lol = 1:21

  • And if the client see you on facebook half naked, what does it say about your good judgement??? It's common sense! If I was an manager and I have to choose between 2 persons, and one of them has a picture of them puking on facebook, I'll choose the other.

  • facebook is not good for getting a job because facebok isn't made to make you look professional. facebook is a strictly a social network. and i would not bother the person about they're personal life. that is just annoying. so any manager who wants to have an interview and wants your facebook, that person is just wanting to find something bad about you and fire you in the long run.
