hey jew fuck! deal with it! i am glad my company Cox shutdown your internet you jew fucker! you deserve to die of cancer of the asshole. We at Cox dont tolerate that shit you jew fuck
Dont use file sharing service illegally to tx/rx, illicit streaming services, or rock any major media services such as these. Clamp down your router with WPA2 and MAC address filtration or better yet only use wired Ethernet connectivity (going to be significantly faster this configuration) and a little more "secure" also may look into running a third party GNU OS such as Linux "Ubuntu" for all you *nix vergan's to get rid of the botnet/malware risk.
im on my 3rd one. finally said fuck it and deleted vuze. simple call and act stupid. tell them your wireless router isnt secured. they will fill in the blanks and belive on there end that someone wirelessly tapped into your network and did the downloading. ive used the same excuse 3 times now. but unfortunalty they have a 3 strikes policy and im not willying to go any further with my investigation. tell me this tho. once u del the file how do they know you del it? WE HAVE NO PRIVACY
@drumstud3000 No that's wrong. Media companies hire other companies to plant fake files and monitor p2p networks. Anyone sitting on the tracker can see ip addresses. So they take the IP addresses and send reports for everyone. Some ISP's ignore them, not Cox. They will still do this even if it's a fake file. So then you got to call cox and they reactivate it. They do not know if you deleted it or not. That isn't possible unless your PC is compromised and they have access
@bloodgirl4 Cox doesn't know if a copyrighted file is on your computer. They only know if a 3rd party complaint has been made about an IP address downloading or uploading copyrighted media. If you the copyrighted title is still in your share folder, you may get flagged again.
Ummm... It's a really easy solution...just move the files to a folder after you download them so that people cannot snoop on your PC and look at your collection. Also turn off the file sharing option as well... That or just throw your PC out the window because you obviously don't know how to use it...
A company called BayTSP contacted Cox about me downloading the movie Mean Girls. They said that it was the intellectual property of Paramount pictures and that if they detected illegal material being transferred through my computer again they would shut off my internet.
This has happened to me a couple of times when i had cox. After about the third or fourth time I switched to embarq. Had no problems. I guess Cox made a deal with some copyrights company or something so no freedom of information. Remember when net zero was free?
And that is like finding a needle in a haystack when trying to trace back on it, and if they do find this person who uploaded it they have to prove that this person does not own whatever it was that was uploaded. They have a case but it's not in thier best interest to spend time and money to go through all that red tape in order to get a basis for legal access. You probably have the free version of kazza which raised red flag. hoping u dunno this fact.
@23HxCJosh Well, you may work for them, but this is not legal. The law in a nut shell is such that if you've downloaded copyrighted materials they cannot punish or restrict the downloader. They can use the evidence retrieved by your isp and if they want it pursued then they have to trace back to the original uploaded it and proceed from there. In otherwords the persons who are uploaders will get some flack. Unless you have a paid subscription to whereever you obtain the downloads.
When you download copy written material...your ip address is visible. This is mandated by FCC..This is always used to track individuals who create and upload viruses and spyware, also to track criminals who are involved in child pornography. The ISP or INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER..which is Cox, has a duty to alert to account holder, or suspend the service until action is taken...
KAZAA is full of spyware etc. Why is Cox monitoring private info????? So nothing you do is secure? You might ask them since they know this they obviously know your bank account numbers.. etc. What gives them the right to know your logins, passwords... etc?

@sirluke7 i kno. they have no right to monitor someone's private info on the comp. damn RIAA is gonna have every computer monitored like crazy.
skaterboy379 1 year ago
@skaterboy379 one last thing is that its technically against the law for them to monitor unless they have legit legal reasons for doing so.
