I Love the slingbox I can take my laptob anywhere in the world and watch my tv.I have over 300 stations to watch from my tv. I even have it hooked up to my headrest tv's in the car and thats awesome. The best part is buy the slingbox and everything else is FREE.

What is the difference between the pro hd and solo coz I know the solo has an hd connection also at the back. Will also this work on my shaw pvr 500gb motorola dcv3400? I've watched a number of reviews, but none seem to address if there is a video quality difference between the Solo and Pro-HD when it comes to watching streamed content on a mobile phone. That's really the main reason I'm considering buying one...anyone know if there is a difference?

I was interested in this device at first.. until i realized that there is no HDMI port. who the hell still uses rca connections? nobody. this product is a waste of money. Slingbox is a few years behind with regards to tv technology. this thing still uses infared? how do they not have DLNA with this device?

Not really going to save you money on getting another box. The sling box controls the box it's connected to.

In other words, whoever is at the TV is forced to watch what the slingbox user is watching.

Also you are now good on Blackberry and iPhone as well as WinMo, Palm, and symbian.

Everything that u see on ur tv, it will show up the same way on ur cell phone or computer... its great... i have the slingbox pro and i dont see a need to upgrade to the pro hd cuz no matter where im at, even on wifi, it's so hard to get streaming of 5 mps, i hardly get 1.4... does anyone else get 5mps or am i doing something wrong??

i do not see this working as a means of saveing on another cable box. you can only watch on it what its running on the TV that its hooked to. so haveing this insted of another set top box wold mean that both TVs wold have to be tuned to the same channel. that would be the same as just putting a splitter on the out going coax or RCA connections and have it running to both TVs >.> it is however nice to be able to watch your TV from just about anywhere.
