I'm french and when you won 7 times the tour de france, I thought like many french people that you were cheating.
But this summer I understood that you did not. I think indeed that your matter communicating with the media and the matter french TVs and papers showed you made us thinking that of you.
I think the best tour you won is the last one, because you achieved conquest of french public on the roads. It was not easy but you won ! Congratulations !

When you retired I was a fan of yours because of your strength and courage.
Nine months before your comeback, I had been told the three words no one wants to hear, "you have cancer".
