I get lessons to give myself a more detailed and better understanding of how the guitar works and understand how the songs are made. Kudos to you for learning guitar on your own but don't go thinking you're better than other guitarists because of it. And to point out Kirk Hammett took guitar lessons and he wrote this solo and he's one of the best guitarists of all time.
