cuz i have a 3Gs with the new bootroom. I am currently running the IOS 4.0 so I am not on 3.1.2 as u say in the vid. Is there a jailbrake that I can use in my case?

when i try to put the 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com in my hosts file it pops up with a wiindow saying "Cannot create the particular file, make sure the path and the file name are correct.

Any thoughts how to fix this?

@arkboy12 @arkboy12 Open your host file, copy everything in it and Put it in a different notepad file and save it as the same thing but on your desktop, after that copy that file to the same folder as your host file so it will overwrite the file. And after all that make sure you put in that code.

I do have a question sir, I was able to untether jailbreak my iphone before in 3.12 because of iphone model and when it was made. What I mean is that I can power off and power back up without having to use blackra1n in 3.12. Now is this possible with this jailbreak? Untethered jailbreak 4.0?

Great vid. Need help. When I restored, I chose the wrong ipsw. I chose the 4.0 downloaded instead of the snowbreeze 3gs 4.0 file.

Now, i'm getting error 1600 and 1604. Phone is stuck in "plug in itune" mode. I can restart it by DFU mode. Itune sees it, says it needs to be restored. So shift, restore, the cycle starts again. End up with error 1600 or 1604. Please help me. Yeah I messed this one up... thanks for your help!

I have one question about rebooting. Whenever I power off the iphone and then turn it back on, the phone gets into the recovery mode. I can only get out of the recovery mode by running iBooty again. Is that normal? If so, is there anyway around this? Thanks again!

@wuguize No, that's normal, this is a tethered jailbreak so you have to run iBooty when you want to boot.

@rose4011 No, having the sim card in should have nothing to do with it. I'm assuming by the first part you mean 'prepare for custom firmware', so just keep running that until you get a logo or you can just get a plan black screen. Hope it helps, thanks for watching, good luck (:

@hashimra calm down, lol. Shsh blobs are files that you need that allow you to downgrade to previous firmware. If you're on 4.0 and you don't have your shsh blobs then there's no way for you to downgrade, if you want to jailbreak you have to downgrade but you can't without your shsh so therefore you can't jailbreak.

@Orientangels The reason that you need your 3.1.2 shsh blobs is because you need to downgrade to 3.1.2 and you can't without them, and in order to do this jailbreak you have to start out on 3.1.2, so for right now there's no way for you to jailbreak. to all if you already have 3.1.2 installed on your iphone you dont need to have shsh blobs saved. just build the ipsw and use ibooty to put in restore mode and restore using custom firmware created by snowbreeze.
