  • @Lucifit I go gyming and burn like 250 cal everyday..but still my tummy aint going in...:((((

  • u think this will work...m very fat and have a beer belly

  • @tinakross1234 Yes. It will! But you have to burn fat to see the abs beneath it. Must do cardio, walk, jog, bike, swim, something. Move more to burn more!

  • @Lucifit I go gyming and burn like 250 cal everyday..but still my tummy aint going in...:((((

  • @tinakross1234 Tina, you HAVE to be PATIENT!!! Keep working out, keep eating right, and it will happen for you.

  • hey,im thinkin about trying this out and i have a few quiestions uhm 1.how often do i do this a week? 2.how long do i do these excosizes and 3.when will i see the results an lastly 4. do u have any lower body so i can tone my thighs and butt becuz id love to have an evend out body thx

  • @xXRockyCoCoXx 1. Do your ab exercises 3-4 days per wek. 2. You should do exercises that challenge you enough that you can only do about 30 total! Do 2-3 sets of them. You should see the results in a couple of weeks, but remember it depends on your body fat percentage. 4. Check out other videos on my LuciFit channel for lower body. It's great you want to be evenly fit!

  • More Fitness Tips here

  • I really want to do this, but no matter how hard I try, I cant lift my shoulders, any suggestions?

  • If you can't lift your shoulders off the ground, it just means your abs aren't strong enough yet! Keep working at it, pull your abs in even more and that should help. :)

  • how many times should i do this ..or how many time a week? when can i see the results...3 weeks maybe? should i do it everyday?

  • Keep doing the crunches until you can't do another. That's the way to make sure you've worked your muscle enough to make a difference. Once you get it right with your hands on the floor, put them behind your head, then advance to hands over the head. Do it every other day... if your body fat is low, you should see results shortly.

  • Hi Luci,

Have you made any more intense ab exercises. Thanks Di.

  • As a matter of fact, I'm making some more now. Thanks for asking... keep a lookout for them!

  • Hi, i am having more abdominal muscles. How long i have to work out per day to reduce . Im having backache, but no the slippage of disc. Can i do these exercises even then. Please advice

  • That question is hard to answer without more information. I can recommend though, that you try doing the two stretches I have up on the channel right now. Along with strong abs, these stretches can be very helpful for the back. Don't go too far too soon, just go to a point of comfortable stretch feeling.

  • I have some trouble with criss cross. I can't seem to keep my elbows straight across from each other when I bring my opposite shoulder to my opposite knee. Any suggestions? Do my shoulder blades stay on the mat or off?

  • Hi. It's ok if your elbows come together in front a little. Just try not to pull your head forward with your arms, but initiate from the abs. Shoulder blades should eventually come off the mat. As your abs get stronger and you can lift your body more, you can come up higher. Let me know how it goes!

  • wouldn this be harmful to your back?

  • Actually, this is how you protect your back.

  • thanks then : )

  • HI Lucy... I really like this video... And I aprecciate that you take the time to responde to your visitor.. See, the last two weeks I've been doing cardio exercise almost everyday... but my skin seems to get flatter and my abdomen is not getting slim... why is this? is it just that I need more abs exercise? ro something else... thnks

  • You're on the right track. But it will take longer than 2 weeks. The skin on your body will get thinner, because fat and water will be reduced there. Keep up the cardio.. and by 6 weeks you should start to see something. Also, doing abs the way I show here will make sure your waist gets smaller.

  • God you look great Luci.

  • Thank you!

  • hi luci

i ve been doing basic, oblique cruches, toe touching 4 da last 1 week, bt i cant see sum prominent results on my lower abs,plz guide,n wot shud i do for the fat that grows around my butts

  • Well, for starters, you need to work at it for more than one week! It takes a month or so of consistent exercise to start seeing results. Keep at it! You'll also need to eat healthy, clean, fresh foods to get the body fat down and keep it there!

  • holding in your abs while simple things like walking, running, etc. actually help as well, not just with crunches

  • Definately. Pulling your stomach and backside in, even when waiting around or sitting, can make a huge difference.

  • Hi Luci :)

I have a flat stomach, but it seems to me that the fat grows around my hips. How can I get rid of it there?

  • Do bycicle crunches, they help ur sides (rib area) and hips

  • wud dat werk if i jus ride a bike i use 2 ride all da time but now datz summerz over kant say noin now i rryde bike everyday

  • yes, it would work.

  • Hi, there. I'm so sorry for the late reply. Sometimes it's hard to see new comments on this site. Take a look at my post to archrags just above you. That would be my advice to you as well! Also, there are a lot of great Q&A above that you might find useful. Keep up the work. Don't stop and you'll get results.

  • What's an abdomen?

  • The abdomen is your belly, otherwise known as tummy, or abs!

  • thx

  • HI Luci i have a lower abdominal tummy after my delivery. Could you please tell me how to reduce my lower tummy and also tell me how to tone my sagged tummy. Awaiting for your reply. thanks

  • No matter where it is, Cardiovascular exercise is the best workout for losing any body fat. That would be something that makes you breathe a little harder, like riding a bike, rollerblading, walking, or running. Start by doing 10 minutes per day and then add time. How is your diet? Eating healthy is also key. If you eat fresh, non-processed foods you'll drop weight easily without starving. Then tone up by challenging your muscles with exercise. More abdominal exercises coming soon on my site!

  • hmm.. seems like you're doing the right stuff. I would have to work a little closer with you to figure out what the specific issue is. I give fitness consults on Skype and I also give workout progressions over e-mail for a small fee. Let me know if you're interested and I'll help you to figure out how to tackle the situation with a little one-on-one time.

  • thanks for the respone luci but i do eat lots of fresh fruits and vegies i dont eat ANY junk food , coldrinks at all or im non alchohlic and dont eat white bread alwell ....even after working out a lot i still have bit of tummy :p and also my height is not much im 5'2" ..so do think this cud be the reason ?? rite bak thnks

  • Wow. That's so great to hear that the exercises have helped you a lot. I love it when I can make a little bit of difference! :)

Two questions about your abdominals - are you eating fresh plants and lean proteins? - Are you doing cardio? The abdominal exercises can tone your abs, but to see the difference you need to lose any excess weight. See my comment to brightestdiamond31 right before you for more good info on that!

  • hi luci ! i m a 15 years old girl my body is totally out of shape like my abdomen is big before i did dieting n waz in shape but now i suddenly gained weight even my face is also lil chubby plzzz do help me luci i really want a body like u . waiting for ur response :)

  • Cardiovascular exercise is the best workout for losing weight. That would be something that you do that makes you breathe a little harder, like dancing in your living room, riding a bike, rollerblading, walking, or running. Start by doing 10 minutes per day and then add time. How is your diet? Eating healthy is also key. If you eat fresh, non-processed your body will find it's normal weight easily without starving.

  • which fruits n vegetables should i eat during this ????? before i skip my meals & i lost weight but now i gained so plz suggest me some low fat healthy food

  • Almost all fruits and vegetables are good for this. Except Avacado and Coconut, because they have a lot of calories and fat. Otherwise, overload your plate with them - and have a small portion of lean protein and some grains on the side.

  • i just want my flabs to go.!!

  • around 2.20 you are rising your legs up without bending your knees thats the thing i can not do atm cuz my hamstrings arent that flexible and i m 22 years old. I need advices about increasing the flexibilty in the hamstrings. Like how often to do the stretching exercises or how long to stay at that stretched motion, thanks..

  • Yes, stretching is important! Stretch your hamstrings every day. Or, before and after each workout. One of the two. Stay in the stretch position for at least 30 seconds. That's all it takes!!

  • hi i am 15 and i've got a big abdomen i try all metods !!what i should to do?

  • Have you tried this one? The abdominal exercises here will work well to firm your abs. However, if you have any extra weight around the middle you'll want to do some cardio exercises for at least 20 minutes... 3-5x per week. it can be walking, biking, dancing, playing ball, anything that makes your heart beat faster. That will help you burn any unwanted fat and thin down the middle.

  • Hey, I am a mom of two. A 19 and 8 month old. And with me have kids right behind each I'm having trouble losing the weight in my stomach. After my first one I went back to my orginal weight. Do you have any suggestions? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I'M ONLY 23 YEARS OLD!!!!

  • Yes, I can help you. Cardio, a total body strength workout, and a diet with low fat protein and lots of fruit andvegs is necessary to get your body where you want it. i can give you general help here, but I also create personalized e-mail workouts to help people reach their goals successfully. Let me know if youre interested in this. Otherwise, Ill do what I can to give you a few pointers through you-tube!

  • hi luci! i have this problem about my lower abdomen. i'm just 22,a little chubby but my lower abdomen is really big. my tummy is flat but my lower abs protrudes especially when i wear jeans or bikini undies. what exercise can you recommend for me. i would really appreciate your help! God speed!

  • hey im 16 and i have a very big belly...but the werid thing is im not that fat im only 110 and 5'0ft...wat can i do to tone my body without loosing too much weight???

  • Well, we all have an area where the weight goes on first. That's also the place it comes off last! The truth is - you want to tone your overall body, because it all works together. So, do your overall exercise routine, and include your abdominal work and cardio. You'll see yourself starting to take the right shape.

  • THANKS =)

  • hey luci how r u ?? well i almost do all these workouts and 7 days a week and also do running and i have been doing it from last 9 weeks i have seen the results but i want quicker result what excercise should i do and my weight is 46kg and im 24 years and also its jus my tummy which is the problem area :-( hopw u'll rite bak

  • Keep running. Keep doing the workouts. If you've seen results, you'll see more if you just have patience and keep it up. Don't stop!

  • You are sweet. Do you advertise on craigslist?

  • Hmmm.. no. I don't. Should I?

  • Im thirteen and i was woundering how to get a really really flat belly. Would this excersise work the best for me or which one would ? Btw you've got an amazing body

  • Yup. This one. Watch for more coming soon.

  • hey lucy im 19 and have a lil flabby belly...will this ab workout benefit me because of my age(do i have to do more or less times) or the same as everyone else?

  • Hello and thanks for asking! For you, the rules are the same as for everyone else. Scroll through the question an answers and see if you can pick up any other tips before you start. Then, give it a try!

  • hey there, im of a starter here. How many reps/sets would i have to do. And will doing this exercise get my stomach muscles?

  • You'll need to select abdominal exercises that are challenging enough to tire out your abdominals in a short amount of time. Generally speaking, you shouldn't be able to do more than 30 repetitions before your abs are fatigued. ou just need to go until your abs feel like they're being worked (burning or tightening) And, do about 3 sets max. One time per day, 4 days per week should do it.

  • Luci...Wow thanks I asked a que abt body fat % & u replied. I really wasn't expecting a reply so that was so nice of u. I just wanted to say thank u very much & I plan to stick around here to squash any negative people that pop by here . You look great & u know ur stuff! Again thanks & God bless u & stay hot ! Hey!

  • Thank you for your awesome message! I know people are looking for answers, and I'm hoping to give just a little help on this site. It's always really rewarding though when I get a thank-u message like yours. Take care of your beautiful self!

  • Hi there! I'm assuming u won't see flat bs until u have a certain body fat percentage & so I would like to know what that body fat percentage is?

  • It's different for everyone as to when you'll see your ab muscles. However, 13-20% for women and 6-13% for men is considered "athletic" for people between the ages of 20 and 40.

  • I don't want to get a six pack. I just want to have a flat, firm tummy.

Will this excersize get me just that and no 6 pack or 4 pack?

  • Try it. If you start to get some definition then reduce the number and intensity.

  • Good additional point. It's most important for the neck to be relaxed and not moving. You can look at the abdomen, or the ceiling, it depends on what's most comfortable!

  • This is really good!! By the way, can you tell me what I can do to lose lovehandles?

Thanks again for your videos their really helpfull ^^

  • Yes, I can tell you!

Check below for my answer to foreverdoug.. you two had the same question!

  • OH!! HAHA!! Sorry I didn't see that XP

    Thanks again

  • No prob! I answered you both at the same time, so there's no way you could've seen my answer earlier! Anyway, give it a try and let me know how it goes!

  • My gosh! You look amazing! I am lean and thin but I am not toned and have a little bit of flab on my lower sides, and lower abs.

What kind of exercises can I do to target these problems?

    THANKS SO MUCH!!

  • A little bit of cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise will help you to burn any extra fat from your body. And then, try doing the bicycle (I show a little of it at the end of this vid) for your oblique area.

  • When i do that fundamental exercise I feel a lot on my neck than on the abdomen. Is that ok?. Also, any diet regulations?

  • You should definitely not feel stress in the neck. Try starting the movement from your abdomen. Bring your ribs towards your hips. Let your head float along for the ride. If that doesn't work, try coming up a little less. Work on your form until you can only feel your abdomen working while the rest of your body is relaxed.

  • My stomah muscles seperated during pregnancy, will this exsecise help or worsen it?

  • Hi there,

You should talk with your doctor or your nurse- who will know best about your situation!

  • Luci, you look fantastic and your body is immaculate!

  • Thank you! :)

  • i'm going to work on this 4 times a week for 90seconds like you said. i hope it works=]

  • That's approximately 90 seconds per set. And at 3 sets it would be about 5 minutes...! You should complete each set until you can't do another one... !

  • by the way if i do that exercise for 15 minutes in the morning and 15minutes in the night, it will work or not? and how many days will take to have a slim belly??

  • It shouldn't take 15 minutes... If you're working your abs at the correct intensity, each set should take you about 90 seconds.. You just need to go until your abs feel like they're being worked (burning or tightening) And, do about 3 sets max. One time per day, 4 days per week should do it.

  • Luci, you look great thanks for the tips!

  • Thanks for that GREAT Tip~!!!

i didn't know you need to contract your abs in before doing a crunch,

no wonder, my crunches are useless~

i did what you said and WHOA the difference was intense,

    Favourited your Video~

    Thanks Luci~

  • Great! I'm so glad you got it! It makes a big difference, doesn't it??! See you soon :)

  • Hi there Luci...love the videos..I have a question, I am a 36 year old guy with a pretty big belly, what can I do to get rid of it real quick...

  • thank you for this exercise and explaination

I will try it because to get an liposuccion is expensive 3000$ i will try with exercise first

  • Definitely try the exercise first. And, give it some time. It takes time and persistence to get the physique that you really want.

  • that was very useful thx for the info although am a physical therapy but i didnt know about the holdin in thing thx again

  • And, Thank you for the note!

  • WHOOOAAA that thing you did with your legs was cool you moved them without effort

  • i kno she looked lyk a robot lol

  • aggreed!

  • hi for beginer how many for day thanks

  • Do 4x per week!

  • thank you again

  • Oh god, DO WANT!

  • Will this get boys a six pack? Because you are just lean, flat stomached(Which is good for a female). I would like a six pack, so basically, does this bulk up? It seems from you it just flattens up.

  • Yes. I have a six-pack, I'm just not showing it. :) To get a 6pk, take a weight in your hands and hold it to your chest when you do these. Start with a small weight and then move up as it gets easier.

  • o ty

  • Ive been doing sit ups since i was around 16-17 recently i havent done any with year 12 i acomplished a 4 pack and a faded 6 pack during this time. I think the best way is too do small sit up reps of 10-20 then having a couple mins break then agian rather then doing for example 100 at once.

  • Good tuition.

    And yes nice bod.

  • nice body and form

  • nice legs

  • hum what could i do for my legs?????

  • How many reps of those should you do a day to see results?

  • i'd say as many as possible.. try to build it up over time.. a bit more each day

  • thank you very much

  • I want those arms!!!

  • Wow, lovely video.

You explain it so well, it's really easy to get the full picture.

And, apparently it does work because you've got a wonderful body.

    But I have a question...

Is it wise to try and get a fit body at the age of 14?

If so, I'll try hard to make this work and hopefully get good results.

But if not, would you recommend something I can do to get some extra weight off?

    Really appreciate it.

  • Hi Tuoni,

Yes, it is a very good idea to get in shape at your age. The abdominal exercises here will work well to firm up your midsection. However, if you have any extra weight around the middle you'll want to do some exercises that make you sweat, for at least 20 minutes... it can be skipping, dancing, playing ball, anything. That will help you burn any unwanted fat.

  • Thank you so much!

  • thats really good exercise thu i hav problem wiz the lower abs..its just not toned up very wel..so i do the abs workout everyother day nd m very skinny..any suggestion for how to straighten the lower abs??..thank u very much

  • Yes, just keep working the abs the way I talk about here. Focus on pulling in not only your belly-button, but the area below the belly button (lower abs). If you practice this, you'll get your lower abs just as well.

  • what if ur fat in u can't get all the way up?

  • When I'm doing this exercise I tend to be straining my neck instead of working on my abs. Any hints to fix this?

  • you look amazing and in tiptop cond...thanks for this vid, ive seen loads, but your's really does explain it properly..now gona put it to use and hope to c som results, cheers

  • GREAT! I hope you see some results, too!

  • Thankyou so much !

  • Crunches will definitely firm up the muscles in your abdominal area if you do them right! As for extra weight around the middle, increasing your energy expenditure and decreasing calorie consumption is the only proven way to get it off and keep it off! If you can find a way to move around a little more, walk, jog, skate, dance, anything that burns more calories, that will help!

  • im slim, but all my fat seems to store on my hips and on my lower back at the sides just above my bum, i also have a small blulge on my belly. can you recomend any excersices for this area? i already have been doing crunches around 50-100 every other day will this help ?

    thankyou for your time!

  • ok how long do you think i would have to do this to get great abs.????

    im 15.5'3.120lbs.

  • I usually recommend working the abs once per day, 4-5 days per week. Always do ab exercises that are challenging enough for you to only do about 30 or so!

  • OK thanks!!

  • Do you think if I do crunches and sit-ups in the morning, afternoon, and at evening before bed that my stomach will get flatter. I do about thirty at each point of the day, I do this everyday, and started it about one month ago.

  • Yes, I think that all of that will definitely get you results. And, remember, less body fat around that area will make your muscles show through better.

  • That little hump that develops while I'm crunching is what I hate. Good tip: it's always best to suck it in to force more resistance. I've got some belly fat like the poster below me. I wonder if developing more muscles will automatically burn the fat or do you have to do cardio in order to burn the fat no matter where?

  • You're right about the cardio. It helps burn fat from all over your body. And- a little more muscle in the area will help to burn extra calories!

  • will these exercises help to reduce stomach fat too? I can never get rid of the fat in my stomach even though i can feel my abs....

  • All of these exercises will help you to tone your muscles, so they're stronger, and firmer. But, if you have significant excess fat around them, the only way to cut that down would be to burn more calories. The exercise for calorie burn is cardiovascular exercise. It burns the most amount of calories per minute!

  • well, i would like to have perfect abs. how long have i to traine all days to get perfect abs?

    thanks

    im 18, 5*9 and im 129.8 lbs = 59 Kgs

  • You don't have to train all day! You'll need to select abdominal exercises that are challenging enough to tire out your abdominals in a short amount of time. Generally speaking, you shouldn't be able to do more than 30 repetitions before your abs are fatigued. It might be time for you to get more advanced...

  • ive been doing this a lot..at least 100 crunches, and sometimes it teiikz me 15 to 20 minutes, but wont i need to go on some healthy diet to actually let it teiik effect?

  • I see what you're saying. It's true that the lower your body fat percentage, the more you'll be able to see your muscles underneath your skin!

And, if you are doing these more than 100 times, it seems that it's time for you to upgrade to more advanced exercises!

  • thnx foe the reply but what kind of advanced exersices though??

  • I would strongly disagree with the elbows-to-knees thing. This tends to take effectiveness away from the abdominals because the dont contract nearly as much as they do in a regular crunch.

  • Hmm... That's an interesting comment. The "bicycle" exercise (when done correctly) activates the obliques which run diagonally from the ribs to the hips. If you start out with the basics, pulling ribs towards hips and naval to the spine (like I was stressing in this vid) and then add the intensity, you shouldn't lose effectiveness. But, I'd be interested if you have any research/ emg studies etc. to share!

  • this really helps....so detailed LMAO good job

  • nice vid, as ditjudo says very informative

  • Great details...you cannot injure yourself!

  • Most informative - I have followed a lot of advice taken from the similar videos, and this is the only one that made me know for sure how many muscle fibers I have in the tummy area once I woke up in the morning...
