i think its got magnets in the shoes that keep them held together or some clips. thats why he stands sideways so you cant see his other foot that might not even be in the shoe... maybe

i know how it works. it is a trick with your feet because all the other hover shoe vids i saw were with magnets at the bottom but here there are none. its also to do with an illusion of perspective because you lift your left leg up with your right leg by tip toeing with it on the other side. you have to be facing the camera with your shoulders so that it looks like you are hovering.its so fake because he would fall if they were hover shoes and if he would drop them they would normally hover.

lol, he put the foot that is closest to camera into shoe. the other foot does not go in the other shoe...there is clear adhesive of some kind that sticks the shoes together. he stands on the foot furthest away from camera(not in a shoe).
