Oh, how I wish I had a pair of neighbours like Holmes & Watson...! *sigh* Thank you, gelert456, for posting these episodes! I'm having a blast revisiting these stories!
17:10. I adore how concerned Holmes is. He obviously respects her and wants to assist her, and I just love how, now that he knows she is there for a very specific reason, he wants to make sure she's alright.
Thanks for the upload- I have always loved this series- David and Jeremy the best Watson and Holmes ever- love the humour between them both. Holmes laughing when he says the odious Woodley was taken away in a cart after he knocked him out was funny!
enjoying watching these but cycle stalking seems such a trivial event to go to the effort of seeking out the worlds greatest detective instead of just buying a gun and screaming 'come on you motherf**king scallywag let's be having you'
thanks so much for these; I'm a big SH fan, but i've mainly experienced him through the books, and through the BBC Radio 4 series with Clive Merrison. That interpretation is an utter masterpiece imho, but Jeremy Brett is really really growing on me: fantastic acting.
guys chillax I love the comments but some of you guys are over-analysing some of the characters, all characters have their strengths and flaws, we just have to accept it and look at the bigger picture.
17:12 "Sherlock Holmes is cold hearted" my ass. He cares a lot about people. Look at how he goes over to her all concerned...people just mistake his logic for coldness. It's really a shame. :C
@TheRainstorm97 You have to understand in those days heroine was a leisure drug, it was widely available just like aspirin is today. So there wasn't a lot of social stigma associated with heroin use at the turn of 20th century, in those days it was somewhat acceptable.
@gelert456 I might be wrong but I don't think it was heroin-I looked it up and Holmes is known to inject a seven % solution of cocaine, at least I think that's what it is. From the look on Watson's face, it isn't the first time they've talked about it. I guess he's sort of given up?
@TheRainstorm97 I used to work in an English Victorian country house, one day the head gardener pointed out the area, south facing, just below the Butlers Pantry window, that was recorded as having been where the lady of the house had her Marajhuana grown. Queen Vicky herself was a recreational drug user so Holmes was in "Good" company with his "bad" habits...well, he would have been if he wasnt just the figment of a clever Scotsmans imagination :)
@jacksawild I have, actually. I was commenting more on why Watson just allowed himself to be sidetracked like that when it's clear he objects than why Holmes is using drugs.
great, great!thanx for uploads,Jeremy Brett is outsanding,a masterpiece from him as well for authors, this was very popular show in Serbia, greetings from serbian
Thank you so much gelert456 for uploading these "full-length" episodes. I watched them all up to this point and find them all so far enjoyable. I found this episode particularlly amusing. Jeremy Brett in my opinion, is a great interpretation of Sherlock Holmes. Thank you.

i have to say, other than the abduction-forced marriage etc. part, that place is very beautiful for cycling!

"Watson, it is abduction, it is abduction murder and heven knows what."
-Holmes
in my head it is… marriage.

I love how they just man-handle the client in the first scene as though she's just a piece of evidence.

@oliverbayley1 indeed! sometimes I think Holmes is preparing Watson to carry on after him.

It's interesting to see how monetary values have changed. The value of a 100 pounds.

Or it could be morphine, I don't know. Not that it really matters.

Holmes and Watson are ADORABLE. Still don't understand why Watson didn't kick up more of a fuss over the drug use just then, though.

@TheRainstorm97 Also he doesn't take alot of it he just takes a little to stimulate himself, plus drug use isn't as bad as people think.
