i was at that game. i stayed all the way through the first rain delay when the heavy stuff when through, but left after they started the 2nd delay. my cousin stayed through both though lol. i sat in aisle 223 row 11 seat 111 that day/night
Well, we know Elvis is a Cubs fan now. Between Elvis and Jesus, I think that's all the proof needed to officially declare the Cubs the best team of any kind ever (even better than the A-Team).
This was'nt the first time Elvis has made his mark on Chicago. Elvis played Chicago several times while he was here on Earth the last was in June 1977 on his very last tour before he left the real building..ELVIS LIVES FOREVER!!!
From what I remember, the man in the Elvis suit inspired my friend Goose and I to get naked and streak at The Tap on various occassions...but I could be mistaken.
My regards to CPD...they had a great laugh, I am sure!
Youtube celebrity security guard Gene was one of the two guards who escorted Elvis out of the buildings to the lockup. A good picture of this is in the red eye and all the tv stations carried the footage. Good job bigguitarman, I mad I didn't get the shot.
I'm his mother and he's too old to ground. But get real - it was a joke. Obviously it's against the rules to run on the field but I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. It didn't hurt anyone and it appears the crowd enjoyed it. Sure hope he gets his cape back from the grounds crew.
Great video, as far as the comments about tresspassing, this is not the crime of the century. I don't condone running on the field but it was exciting. thanks for posting.
I was the guy in the Grace jersey. I would never do it again but it was worth every second. The roar of the croud was intoxicating. The slide was unreal. The carge was illegal conduct at a sporting event. To the credit of Chicago's Finest, EVERYONE at the CPD was unbelievably cool. Thanks guys.

It's called trespassing. You're right Michael this will help in court. It'll help the state's attorney get a conviction. If you're not playing for the team or a part of the orginization. You have no buisness on the field period. I love how you people glorify this.
"...then at approximately 6:00 p.m. a man dressed as Elvis Presley illegally ran onto the tarp-covered playing field. Suspect arrested and charged with impersonating an icon while slip-and-sliding."

He said, "[charge] was illegal conduct at a sporting event." Which sounds right, it is a violation of Chicago Municipal Ordinance.
