Most hats are completely useless and some don't even look good at all. Only the Polycount pack hats, Horseless Headless Horsemann's Head and the Saxton Hale mask have any positive effects. That is why hats don't make people happy.

Having all the items that I need, I pretty much give away the thing that I get from random drops to random strangers when I feel like it. You can observe quite a spectrum of interesting reactions that way.

People get amazingly crazy about hats. I personally chose one which I liked the most, later only got a paint for it. And that's it. I'm set. And , I mean, really - I just do not feel any need for more hats, honestly.

Many people think, apparently, that the more they own, the happier they will be. For me - it helps to have some vision and decide what exactly do you need to make it as complete as you'd wish to.

But sure, sometimes you just get some hats, like getting a new misc that changes the whole set of a class, and then you have a new shiny set but now you have something that you don't need anymore. Even I have some extra hats and other items that I don't use, for example, when I got the Beak, my Medic set changed from Planeswalker Helm + Procedure Mask to Team Captain + Beak + Mask. Now the Helm is collecting dust but I still don't wanna sell it. Funny...
