@zipjay not really, a lack of evidence just cant be used to prove or disprove a point. at best you are at a stale mate. Positive evidence is needed to prove anything.
@zipjay lack of evidence cannot prove or disprove anything. My point is that there is no telling, given the fact that literally thousands of miraculous cures occur at Lourdes France every year if some of those people happen to be amputees or not.
Boy you're right it is a call to ignorance....and congratulations you figured out the questions are rhetorical and don't really require an answer. Rather they are meant to cause a critically thinking person to pause and THINK CRITICALLY ..... The answers of course are so obvious that you even answered them yourself with your "complaints". See we see christians etc as people who will do and think whatever they are told as long as they're told it's a super hero that told you. so we ridicule.
Holy shit, it's true! Keep telling someone some crazy nonsense over & over again from the time they are born, and by the time their adults, they'll actually believe all that silly mythology.
Your make-believe god didn't even bother to tell his ppl about sterilizing wounds.....instead, he allowed millions of kids suffer and die throughout the ages. Why? Either cuz he's full of love & mercy, or cuz he's not real....put 2&2 together!
He also didn't bother to tell anyone about Heimlich maneuver, or CPR.....OH! but to his credit, he did create a bunch of Carnivorous animals who, over the ages, have ripped the flesh off millions of kids & babies. Saw on TV show, still happens today.
@Duttywhinequeen Actually, yes I did. I said that it is very possible that God does indeed heal amputees. Just because we don't see it happen doesn't mean that it does not happen.
@Zito773 depends: do you want the truth, or are you like Tom Cruise in a few good men and can't handle the truth, anyway, there is nothing wrong with the video, so try turning your speakers up.
1:15 thats bullshit and you're an idiot. GIIvideo is saying that if you do believe in god, you have to account for it. He knows why amputees never grow limbs back- because there is no god. You're completely twisting his point and its shamefull.
@TheRealFrostie here are several problems w ur assertions 1: this is your opinion sincer it is not backed up w evidence 2. in order for this to be a legit question you have to assume 2 things 1. that God does exist and 2 you must assume he does not heal amputees, now I ask you, how do you know that God does not heal amputees?
Because there hasn't ever been a reported case of it happening. Something like someone with a blown off limb growing back 100% would make news across the world.
St. Augustine lost a toe from leprosy and it "came back". Padre Pio also healed a woman who had one eye by it "coming back". So yes, God does heal amputees.
@afielsch I just turned the camera on and started talking. I am sure you can google search Lourdes and get the particulars on miracles and other such things.
write me to continue this when reality seeps through to you.
there is no point in spending more time on this while you are in denial.
ppl will read what we both commented and watch the original vid and then come to their own conclusions and maybe comment, who knows... I have no problem leaving it at that.
@MarysMyMom nice, did not know that. now I guess I do. I never heard the story of Padre Pio, Im surprised since I am such a fan of the franciscan saints. Oh well. Thank you for your comment :).
@afielsch No I did not, I more than sufficiently answered why God does not heal amputees: we have no records either way, so we can not say, but we do know beyond any reasonable doubt that God does work miracles.
@cheesemonkey1990 so you are not willing to watch the original vid again... ok:
1) the religious (xtians) say prayer works. its in the bible look it up. (or watch the vid again for the proper reference)
2) god works miracles cuz ppl pray for them.
3) question in the vid: why are amputees left out and get no miracles even though they pray just like the other xtians and should have the same miracle success?
btw there are lots of records that it does not work for amputees. not a single time.
@afielsch problem: again, and I address this issue: there is no evidence either way as to weather amputees get healed or not. The point we are making is that people have faith in God's healing power and they are cured (many times of terminal illness). It is possible that in the last 200 years there has been at least one healing of an amputee at Lourdes, that is all you need to prove the point, just one. Again though, there is no evidence that I know of to support either claim.
@cheesemonkey1990 yes there is evidence. see the reverence in the original vid.
or choose any amputee you know personally and pray with him/her to see what happens, i.e. nothing. but thats another issue entirely.
unfortunately you still miss the point of the vid and refuse to rewatch it to finally understand what the question is. and I think I know why. your carefully constructed "house of cards" will come down and you know it. therefor you avoid confrontation. get real.
@afielsch not really, I addressed the question head on: I said that since I myself was not in any position (and neither is the author of the original video) to make any absolute claims that we can not say for sure if God heals amputees or not. I have however given more than sufficient answers for why we are rational to believe in healing miracles.
@cheesemonkey1990 since you want to go on, I will humor you. but first, I would like to clear something up.
there is an explanatory part in the vid giving important context to the question presented, which you need to consider when answering. in other words, there is a deeper layer if you will, to the question that you need to understand in order for the q to make sense. plz, can you tell what that context is? I need to see that you understand this, otherwise I waste my time in continuing this.
@afielsch I have done more than answer the question to anyone's satisfaction. here is a quesion in turn for you: why don't YOU think God heals amputees. In my answer to the question I explain that there is NOT any evidence (at least that I knew of) to support either view, but I did show that there are miraclulous healings more profound than amputations going on daily. There is nothing to rule out the possibility that one of those thousands of pp; @ lourdes is an amputee.
@cheesemonkey1990@cheesemonkey1990 ok. the vid talks about this: "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it, and it will be yours. ~ Mark 11:22, 24
now, there are plenty of amputees who believe in the bible. therefore they pray. but their limbs dont regrow. it follows: there is no god to answer you prayer and regrow ure limbs. question answered. now, how do YOU answer the question finally understanding the context?
@afielsch These are not twisted attempts to explain. You have, in the course of this discussion committed at least two logical fallacies, that tecnically means I win the debate without even going into the subject matter. My old logic teacher said, "discussing logic with people who don't have any is like trying to breathe life into a corps."
@afielsch There are acutally many examples here on the comment page of Amputees being healed. Just take a look round. Also: google search "lourdes france" and see for yourself if there are any amputee healings recorded. Again, just because there is no evidence to support a calim, that does not mean we can draw ANY conclusions about it. That is the plead to ignorance: a logical fallacy. And that is ALL Atheism is: logical fallacy passed off as "intellectual."
@afielsch you can't even give a straight forward answer as to why God doesn't evist. All you have is logical fallacy. I have shown you at least 4 times that There are medical miracles happening every day and that at least I and the author of the original video can not say for certain that God does not heal amputees. What is so difficult to understand about that?
@afielsch see comments on page: GOD DOES HEAL AMPTUTEES!!!!!!!!! Atheism is just intellectual masterbation: it seves no purpose and is merely a chance for people to TRY to sound intelligent when they really are not. I swear, if "The God Delusion" is what we are passing off as ''intellectual" now a days than we are screwed big tme.
I can't fathom why you took a stab at trying to answer this drek. I saw this video about a year ago a laughed the whole way through it. My first kneejerk reaction was to answer the 10 questions, but decided not to. The only amputation I know of that was cured was after Peter cut the ear off the centurian.
@graffffik you haven't proven anything. plus, you have only show that you don't really know anything about world religions at all: They are so different from one another that it isn't even funny. The Epic of Gilgamesh, while it is slightly similar with it's flood story still doesn't upset the Jewish monotheist view of God at all really. Even that is fundamentally and substantially different from the Old Testament accounts of Yahweh.
So sense lack of evidence cant be used to prove a point that means all gods exist! all of them! every one! even the flying spaghetti monster :D

there is 'No lack of evidence' the gods do not exist
HORUS - 1000 to 3000 BCE is a mirage image of 'JESUS'
Gilgamesh 2000 to 8000 BCE is a mirror image of the gods 'YAHWEH'
though of course these gods were altered and mixed with other 'myths'
100% in fact are where 'the bible and Jewish gods' originated from. they are in fact not real and plagiarized myths
Do not give us 'there is no evidence they do not exist' there is countless evidence they do not.
they're 'miracles' are imaginary too
