  • REALLY GOOD MAN! I'm a guitar player, at least i wouldn't mess myself with your timing. More JM covers.

  • @FixieFixedGear send me your email and ill send it to you C; I made one C;

  • hey dude do you know what the bells are called that JJ and Steve use on their drumsticks?? and where you can buy them??

  • OUTSTANDING drumming thanks for posting this!

  • very cool dude.. I really wanna learn this.. I got the bass and ride down, but i just cant seem to add in the snare any tips?? i sooo wanna learn it!

  • @FreaquedeMusique I think you can consider this a two bar groove. The first bar you play the snare in 2 and 4 and the second bar in 2 and the & of 4. I hope that helps!!

  • @avegai92 Haha i noticed thanks anyway (; i practised on my legs cuz we had fall break, but i tried it on a drumkit this afternoon and that was actually much easier C;

  • @FreaquedeMusique haha alright man!!

  • Good groove man. Congratulations!!! Keep the way

  • How big is that bass drum? Width and deepth, please! :)

Great cover of a great song.

  • @DoctorCameo its a 22x18 man! thanks!

  • Nice one dude :)

  • what kind of snare drum is that?

  • @dareelking987 its a pdp 805 series snare! 10x5"

  • @avegai92 i thought it was a 10x6 because they got one of those for $110.00

  • @dareelking987 my bad haha its 10x6

  • Great cover of Waiting on the World to Change, let me know what you think of mine!

  • ugh how am i suppose to teach my friend this? good job tho dude!

  • Nice job.

  • Great Job, Great Sound :-) Keep it up!

Did this song too on drums!

  • I would suggest bringing up the actual track and it would be pretty much perfect, but it was a good cover

  • @footoolualogysm its a 14" hhx evolution china..and a 10" a custom zildjian

  • steve jordan man he is the shit

  • nice touch, sound & playing.

  • Nice D Dub 7000's

  • where's the originality? i agree with zinnful

  • yep

  • sick cover man, you got the dynamics of the groove spot on.

  • :O you have the same DB pedal as me!

  • Quality sounds. You've inspired me greatly.

  • u're good

  • Nice cover! i really like that fill u did at 1:13 :)

  • tips for learning, use your ear and practise

  • you were very accurate but, dont be offended, it felt boring. spice it up even a bit more and you could have a really interesting feel to it.

  • @zinnful or just play the song and dont stick in inappropriate un-musical fills....

  • @greenforddrums ummm, pointless comment.

  • @lukeykookey naa, perfectly valid. musicality is everything.

  • 5 stars, dude. you've GOT to cover who did you think i was.

  • GOOD JOB Dude!!! u were in the pocket and added your taste in it!!!! NICE

  • I have trouble playing the bass drums on a single pedal. Been trying to work it out for months.

  • that was perfect, trying to learn this one. off beat is just a little tricky. any tips anyoone?

  • dont try to use double bass...it makes it harder in my opinion...also stay loose and practice, finally keep your count durring the off beat fills

  • @49Stories yo try and tap the rim of your snare during the clap so that your on time, there is also a ghost note before the clap

  • holy crap....i have the exact same heads with the moongel in the exact same place

  • man your a good drummer man!! great work, you should listen to deedlebags or cobus potgieter (same person) version on this, lots of fills in em

  • I love the off beat snare kick combo, (yea real technical) i'm thinkin about learnin this one:)

  • Good cover man, you have a nice touch, I like all of Mayer's stuff.

    Cheers, Dean

  • thanks man

  • Are those MOONGELS on your drums? I was thinking about ordering some in addiction to the Audimute Drum Toners I already use...would you recommend them? OH And did you use any on the underside of your cymbals?

  • yes they are, if you want to dampen your drums it's a very good product, buy it.

I dont use it on the cymbals though, i've always like the sustain in my cymbals

  • Yea I was guessing that was a 10" snare. I was thinking of playing this later on today, guess I better switch my 14" for my 12" when I play it.

Oh yea, LoL. GREAT JOB! Sounds good. And your drums have a wonderful tone to them too. That's one thing I can't manage, getting my drums tones like I want. Still though. EXCELLENT job. Might have to fav this one..LoL.

  • thank you!

  • pretty good cover, but lay off the fills and the crashes.

  • one error 2:28

but i´m gonna shutup because this is grate!

  • You've got a lot of feel...such ease

    Really good ..5 Stars

  • thanks

  • That snare can't be more than 10" wide...

  • you are right, it's a 10" snare

  • ease up on the crashes-

    less is more

  • wow ur really good, i just started drums but i hope to be as good as u

  • dude this cover rocks! you went a little crazy with the high hat though but niccce! =]

  • cool

  • nice man my ride sounds so bad compare to yours hahaha mines sound more like a ride/crash then a ride like yours =\ so jealous!

  • AWESOME cover!!!

    you are amazing!!!

  • Good Job! Most people think it is a simple bass pattern, but ive tried and its kind of tough..

Keep the toms to a minimum though..

Simplicity is the foundation of this song...

    Still Good job though

  • i love that song!

  • IM in love with that ride. Sabian makes the greatest rides ever. The HH leopard ride is amazing.

  • im using this track to play along to on guitar :) its sounding really good. but yeah try making your fills less complicated because it is hard to follow in some parts. besides that its really good

  • Playing itself is good, i'd recommend trying to be more boring with your drumming with these kinds of songs tho. All the cymbals are not helping. But the drumming was very nice!

  • Good cover!

What size is your snare? 12" 10"?

  • thanks!..it's a 10"

  • you slip about 10 times mate!, not bad though

  • in wich part?

  • dude im extremly impressed

    u tune so good

if i was to play this song i wouldnt be able to control myself. and my timing would be shit.

hope some1 disscovers u. hopeful your not an asshole like some drummers. lol.

    u seem kool tho.

  • thanks! really thanks

  • Hey man, you have a great sense of time keeping, I'd like to hear you with a live band.

  • hey what is that thing on top of your splash..ive seen it on a ride but never on a splash....

  • It's a 4" paiste 2002 accent cymbal

  • DAAAAAMNNN man, what ride is that?!

  • it's a 20" Sabian HH medium ride cymbal

  • pretty solid. more simplicity would bring that a long way. good job

  • Please i am begging you post a tutorial i wanna get the bass down thanks.

  • He's playing the bass drum off. It's simpler in the recording.

  • whats your snare model dude?

  • it's a pdp 805 6"x10" steel snare drum

  • You are great man! I would really love a video lesson on how you play this, please post one thanks.
