Mikie Dread - man when this dude is on the go we just have to doff our cap to a man how keeps his heavy vibes when all around them are losing theirs. Jah bless him all the time as has stuck with the best in black music for more than two decades. Big up Mike as you are blessed
i never knew antill 2 weeks ago that this is my aunty Sonia that sung this song lol, i had no clue i was at her house and this song was playing and she showed me the record sleeve i had now idea she used to be a singer
hi ya G, what an amazing story!! There are so many singers and players of instuments who walk around my area, they just gave it up and hardly talk about the're one time career. i first bought this in Birmingham back in 79 with my lunch money!! Every party had this going on. nuff nuff skanking in the place!
I think 1978 was a special year for UK reggae. Even before Youtube, i fondly remember being 9 years old and hearing the rhythms wherever i went in london town. Dreads sitting on the stoop, pulling on a draw, people passing, gathering and laughing together. You tube has confirmed the magic of my memories
Heard this on the radio this morning - brought back some wicked memories. There are still many lovers rock artistes from back in tthe day who are still on the circuit today.....Carol Thompson, Janet Kay, to name but a few. Whatever happened to Sonia...she made some classics back in the day. Big tune Mikie Dread!
