The movie Rockstar was based on Judas Priest. Still, I wish i had their talent in playing and making good music. Money for nothing and your chics for free..lol
I dont care what they say being a rockstar has got to be fucking cool as shit! Every job has its up and downs but rockstar? Dude....thats the life. You get away with all kinds of shit...lol. This band kicked ass. Too bad music like this died out no thanks to grunge. At least these guys didnt lie to you. They were about sex, drugs, and rock n roll not saving pussy ass whales and feeding africans.
@misterbarbister hell of a way of saying it. Saying "no shit" is similar to saying "Of course you idiot" A polite way of saying it would be I know or I agree, or anything besides "no shit".
I always loved Glenn and K.K.'s solo trade-off in this song. Dare I use the word "epic"? Yes, I dare. And Rob...good god. I'm impressed that he could fucking stand at this show, let alone sing his balls off, which he did beautifully. Funny thing, if you look carefully at Bloodstone from this show, you can see him come from behind the amps pinching his nose. He used to keep lines of coke behind them.
What a bunch of skill-less, soul-less Imitators in tight trousers, leather jackets, Studs and Wigs. It takes a lot more than that to make Music, let alone to write it. I wonder just how much they made from covering this Peter Green Classic?. Maybe Peter didn't want or need the money, but Danny Kirwan Shure did. And what a godawful piece of Lift Muzac they have turned it into. And I dislike the way it says "Artist: Judas Priest". (Taking the) Piss Artists, yes.
@Tornfreedom dude if you don't like Priest, then get off the vid, thats not even criticism your being too negative.....now as a die hard Priest fan, I think I handled that pretty well and maintained my composure
@Tornfreedom Wow you are a dumb fucktard, none of them are wearing wigs, and Judas Priest is one of the most influential bands of all time. Skill-less? I don't think so.
@erpvb Its funny. No one ever hears "Green Manalishi" and thinks "oh yeah, that fleetwood mac dude." I always knew it as Judas Priest. Even now after knowing better its still and always be a STRICTLY priest song to me
@TheSavageMaggot Your definition of "No-one" clearly means "No-one that I hang around with". There are in fact still many in their 50/60/70's who do not have Alzheimers'. Most of them never knew NOR CARED that JP had done a cover version. Now having seen it, it reminds me of early '70's "Glam Rock", ie Sham Rock, all glitz and no talent, all Show and no Poise, All the hard bits removed and corners cut, in the style of T. Rex and The Sweet. Maybe you should get some more knowledgeable friends!!.
Dozens of well known acts could play at a rock festival, and JP could come out and do this lone tune as the Grande Finale and steal the show every fukken time.
I saw Priest not long after this in Providence, R.I. and it was equally epic. Rob seemed to appreciate the name "Providence" as something with holy connotations, so he used the word a lot in his between song dialogue. I thought that was especially awesome.
Halford + Yeah x 13+ Ohhhh Yeahhh x 2+Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Yeahhhuuuh + Oh Yeahyaw x3 + The Green Manalishi with the two prongred crown = METAL AWESOMENESS!!
@NinjaJedi11 Mosh pits didn't show up untill thrash metal made an entrance onto the scene. We just banged our heads off the stage at this point in time

@TheMichaelseymour by ridiculous you mean running around banging on your guitar, thats the way metal is done my friend, and remember this was '82 not like there was moving lights and pyro to add sizzle to the end. Also this was the last song before the encore. Check out the final song of the show "Hell Bent for Leather". It goes on even longer.

Love the version ....but that is the most ridiculous ending by any band ever.

There's a raid on Justin Bieber's song, Baby ft. Ludacris. If you are a Defender of the Faith, dislike and flag that video. Only a 2000 more dislikes until victory!
