  • There also is confusion with Berber and Barbary. Berbers were probably German or Latin European who settled in Egypt and were absorbed by the Black race. North Africa was once called the Barbary states. The name was use to refer to Nubians. It is confusing because the White Berbers speak language identical to the White Vandals who ran North Africa for 400 years: blond hair blue eyes. But there were no Berbers indigenous to Egypt or were responsible for the building of Civilization

  • Atlantis

  • It's time white people and arabs get the hell out of kemet and give it back to the rightful rulers the black people. The europeons need to go, the arabs need to go, and those so call hyksos berbers need to go to. They have plague african continent for the past 3000 yrs, They all need to go back to anatolia, and eastern europe whereever they come from. They always be showing some greco roman people to act as ancient egyptians when we know those people weren't around in that time. Selam

  • @Thutmosis7 ancient north africans are the berber people.berbers are not grecoroman.they are africans.

  • @MrKilluminati248 Nonsense.

  • @Thutmosis7 not nonsense idiot.berber people live only in north africa and nowhere else in the wolrd.there blood shows 80 % berbic dna and 20% arab.european dna in north africa is like 0% you fool.even ethiopians are berbers to 55% mixed with 40% black and 5% arab.

  • @MrKilluminati248 There is no such thing as berber. It's simple a misuse word that was use either for the nubians or the white slavic german tribe that was station in africa during the roman period. Berber dna? Nonsense don't come on her with your crap. No berbers had anything to do with egypt or any part of north africa history.

  • @Thutmosis7 you can name it berber dna or north african dna.i dont give a fuck.it is how it is.berber people are the ancient north africans.majority of ethiopian dna is berbic too.

  • @Thutmosis7 you can name it berber dna or north african dna.i dont give a fuck.it is how it is.berber people are the ancient north africans.majority of ethiopian dna is berbic too.

  • Who knows..

For once if they are going to do a show like this, they should atleast get a younge hot looking female Egyptologist. I' m not tryng to be sexist, but seeing old people Egyptologist kind of gets borning watching shows like this sometimes... They all seems to be the same thing, have a old person with over 20 years exper. For once I would like to see a Younge Egyptologist in a program like this.. Either male or female...

  • Must these always be in dull british voices? It's a conspiracy to make us all speak like this. blech. I would like to hear a sexy french guy, new yawk/brooklyn, or a latino girl, anything, please!

  • Me too... I would like to hear a sexy female voice too..

I think the reason why in shows like this, they use a English guy is because mostly shows like this are funded by English production companies and the English are more well known into Egypt history..

Just maybe it's my guess that N.G was found by English people and that they pefer having a English guy doing the voice over. LOL.. WH

  • That is an interesting point, however it is important to wipe front to back otherwise you can get you're underwear dirty. I am not pointing any fingers but there is no need to get lazy and leave brown on the toilet paper, if you slack off things can get messy.

  • national geographic are a bunch of sell outs. always settling for the simplist unbacked stories.

  • 1:35 looks kind of fake.

  • My old Math Teacher used to draw on rocks back then hahaahah :)

  • I swear it said Egyptian Noodles before I clicked....

  • That would have been more credible.

  • hahahaha that's what happened to me!

  • i know...i just ate speghetti , i cant spell that.

  • Spaghetti

    lol Even w/ spell check

  • me to i swear to god lol

  • lmao same >.>

  • i love egyptian noodles

  • that's sooooo interesting!

  • Oh, I thought it said "Egyptian Noodles".

I am now substantially less interested.

  • rofl me to...

I am an Egyptian and i think this shit is just wicked cool.

  • I love the title

  • i agree it doesnt look legit, and as for the airplanes you speak of I think you is crazy

  • when I clicked on this I thought it said "Egyptian Doodies"

  • You wanted to see Egyptian doodies?

  • lol

  • theforbiddenknowledge,com/chaptera/

    replace , with .

  • they were far more advanced than we are taught by the 'experts'

Rblwoaclu is right, they had lightbulbs and there are many egyption articles showing the existance of planes...........go figure

Don't believe me? look it up.

  • That is really cool!

  • it doesnt look that legit

  • DON'T take this the wrong way, but the pictures looks like they are drawn on. I AM NOT THERE, so i can't really say much

  • guess what? they were drawn on..........but I think you mean recently? I don't know, alot of things are faked nowadays.

  • woah thats cool

  • guys how do those people get paid? i know if they find artifacts they like give them to museums and stuff like that but what if they dont find nothing they dont get paid?

  • They usually work on grants from museums and companies. Most are also attached to (ie are professors at) universities and get funding from them. They can also use their own personal funds gained from other outside employment. It is hard to work up the cash though, which is why so many sites are still entirely unexplored.

  • Tom Brady Gets Arrested For Drunk Driving-MUST SEE!! /watch?v=naeRiDnv5Yk&feature=channel_page

  • That PROTOTYPE ADVERTISMENT IS REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF

  • why dont you tell them they had lightbulbs and airplanes?

  • I agree, most people dont know this - they were very advanced - people think they spent their lives drawing on rocks lol - we are not taught the truth at schools etc. makes you wonder what 'those in the know' have to hide doesn't it?

  • Btw, this is not the first time these things have been found. Therefore...these are not 'sharpie' drawings -_-

  • nectane. If you are going to post something, post something that is correct. Most egyptians, unless they were slaves from other tribes, originated from the greeks. Mostly macedonians to be more specific. Even at the time in which Carthage existed in place of Egypt (which was then really a mere tribe more so than a nation) Carthage's major population was of mediterranean.

  • Most only want to know tid bits of history and not the whole story. Too bad though, I believe we can learn a great deal about ourselves from history. Those that forget the past, are doomed to repeat it.

  • They were all black people. They were no white people in ancient egypt. The sun would of burn their skin badly the result would be skin cancer. Those people never cover up their skin cuz they had melanin. My ancient ancestors were not arabs or modern day berbers we see in northern africa. They were clearly dark brown to black egyptians. Hotep

  • That idea may make you comfortable to believe, but that is not the truth.

  • Ok corny white caveman leave me alone and go study your history and stop trying to make my people white. Hotep

  • looks like sharpie

  • look like someone just used a marker to make that drawing

  • On the one hand, Yes, they needed to make sketches to keep things in order. On the other hand, that first sketch looks TOO fresh & new to be really ancient and not a hoax ....

  • uhmm you know, maybe some kid living in nearby village drew this with his marker, then planted it in ths sand just for shits and giggles. and now the stone is sitting in some museum :o\

  • Yeah right, a marker.

  • not just any marker, a sharpie ;o)

  • I don't know, but the title of this video gives me an idea for a band name. =)

  • can I take it :) lol

  • that lady couldve drew that stuff on the rocks

  • exactly haha, how did the paint get on the cracks? silly lady

  • How did you guys get the ink or paint to look so fresh on these thousand year old limestone chips? The artwork appears to have all been done by the same paint brush and person . The typical cheesy bible quote has been deleted by the author from this comment . The focus on historical fraud is usually brushed aside due to monetary agendas.

  • It has been laying underground for thousands of years in an extremely arid environment. There is little to no rain in this area - so long as it's under ground, it should be preserved relatively well.

  • something is fishy here..

    what dynasty was this in?

  • I think cobra win !

  • Egyptians Citizens were called to help work for the Pharoh =w=; So all those hard labor were for the Pharoh~ There were no slave works on the Pyramids or Temple in Egypt (History Class, not Bible Class D:< )

  • Wow, very cool, these kind of finding are great. I love hearing about them.

  • People people, do you really expect slaves to deliver such perfect work? When you are forced into labor, doesn't that demoralize your actions? Isn't it more plausible that the people who made this perfect construction were free and educated men? What would you prefer? 10 slaves sentenced to a forced labor to fix your roof, or 10 experts fixing your roof so you would only have to fix it once?

By the way, nowhere in Egyptian chronicles was there ever a Hebrew slave-army mentioned.

  • you are right

  • their was a guy named Moses /let my people go /what else was there to do ?nothing but work ,,you had to know some things to survive ,,or you would probably be use less

  • Yes, well noticed. However... this is the Bible you are referring to. I repeat: Nowhere in Egyptian chronicles is there ANY mentioning of Hebrew slaves.

You know, there is a theory that the geography is misunderstood when scientists translated 'crossing the Jordan...' as stated in the Bible. In fact, the Jordan is a river as well as a mountain-range and when you cross these mountains you end up in Iraq...

  • That's not necessarily true. There IS evidence suggesting a large Hebrew presence in Egyptian history - just not specific "recordings". Egyptian Pharaohs were notorious for omitting periods of oppression from their records. Egyptian history remains shady even till today, which is why archeologists are still dedicating their lives to understanding these people - thousands of years later!

  • great video that I like ! Thank you for sharing .

    nutier

  • What dynasty are these depictions from? Must be one of the Asiatic eras.

  • Didn't the Egyptians scribble something like, you know the kind of vandal drawings and graffiti art you find in NYC Subway restrooms:

    "Anakhnatun was here" *stick figure*

"my penis is gigantic!!!" *haphazard drawing of male genitalia*

"i dig sphinxes. they r f***** hot! luv me sum beast in mah man! RAWR" *drawing of sphinx having doggie with a man*

"Imhotep, I slept with your wife. I'm so sorry.

-your best friend, Khufu" *sad smilie*

  • HAH!

    That made me laugh :D

  • LOL! Well! Now thats a really good way of putting it! Now I wonder what else they had written there... I guess they were things passing people couldn't resist looking at... you know how it is... sometimes you have to write a comment of your own...

  • Comment removed

  • what slaves do in their "free" time - now that is funny

  • Slaves didn't build the pyramids.

Farmers in their off season and PoW made citizens built them.

  • they did have free time, but i don't think the stuff they have found is from SLAVES, it's from some of the more educated workers. Otherwise there wouldn't have been layouts of things they were building, writings of attendance at work, etc.

  • i was just pointing out the irony of slaves having "free" time.

pretty sure slaves had different classes like overseers, managers, administrators and such. People today still refer to themselves as slaves or slaving at work on different levels.

  • the slaves were the Hebrew ppl not the Egyptians themselves.

  • iirc most of them weren't "slaves". it was their occupation.

  • Also pointing out the irony of slaves getting paid?

They were not slaves, atleast most of the. They were paid for their work and they also did not have to work.

  • History channel is betraying history by portraying ancient Egyptians as Arabs AGAIN!

  • Honey they were of mixed race. If you go back to the history of africa Eygpt was a gateway to Africa. They shoudnt portray them all as arabic because it was full of races. People think that people back then was stupid and that the were islolated and never had any contact with different races. False. Even thought there are ancient artifacts all over africa that was built by slaves and of free will. This land ties in with the holy land now today called Israel. This might even be bibical.

  • didn't know egyptians had bibles

  • They didn't.................

  • One would think this would end the "aliens done it" stupidity ...

but there is no end to stupid.

  • aliens did it

    lolzipops

  • Great video! I loved the sketches. Thank you! I'll watch for the show on 6/9.

  • Imagine how bad it would suck to be an Ancient Egyptian who didn't know how to draw well. Everyone's sitting around making elaborate doodles that will live on for centuries and you're sitting there making triangles and getting laughed at.

  • 1:21 clothing wasnt discovered yet at that time. hah

  • Also, it would seem he was unusually happy to see those cattle O_o

  • did you know they were the first to create the airplane...it was a hang glider and they would launch it off the top of the unfinished pyramids.

  • Very nice video. 5 Stars

  • ive thought about that before that "the big bang is real!"

what if god created the big bang?

    pretty simple lol

  • yay i`m not the only one who thinks that :)

  • Hahahaha! What if the Big Bang was a mistake of God and now He regrets it? :D:D:D:D

  • you are just a mistake of good. dump asses

  • How about to stop talking bullshit aaa??

  • How about not aaa??

  • Ok thats your problem...

  • you twit, i study science as my major and historical religion as an elective. there is absolutely no way you can or anyone can 'know a good bit about evolution' and be a 'christian' no matter how deeply you look. By trying to sit on the fence your going to fall off. Especially if you get your facts from a book like angels and demons.

  • This title owns face.

  • it's cool i have subscribe you because i see all your cool videos

  • This video was so cool, I just showed to my friends. I love National Geographic!

  • Well, ok. Science and logic/critical thinking are pretty synonymous but whatever. As long as you're not some bigoted zealot that's cool with me. It's probably more beneficial to just leave people alone than to get all pissed off and frustrated at one another.

I wouldn't mind having a listen to a logical argument for a God with a human-like personality though, cause I've never heard one. My mind is always open. If you ever want to give it a go you know where to find me. Peace

  • oh my god i can't believe how childish so many people are. please, stop acting like little kids and grow up.

  • thanks for the reply happywritermillion.

I agree they CAN fit together if you drop all the cultural baggage of the word "God" and say that it just means the 'non-human creative force' or something, but I say we should lose the word altogether, because it contains too many false connotations!

  • Does this mean we're gonna leave behind MS Paint sketches?

  • confusion is a freind of ignorants

  • 1:08 I love the sounds of those rocks falling.

  • weirdo

  • lol

  • lol.

  • I used to love National Geographic. It showed me how other people Live. Now all they show is how something died. What a waste.

  • hmm not really a waste, in order to learn how people once lived, we look at people who have died, and how they died in order to set up a timeline.

  • My point is, Timeline of what? For purpose of, what? I am on a timeline of being out on the street with my new Bachelor of Science degree! Those people and animals are dead, OK, now what!! Thanks,p

  • a timeline of our history! we look at how people died, & how they lived in order to put together how our civilization evolved. They may be dead but we can see how animals evolved 100 million years ago by looking at fossils, which shows what they ate, & what the climate was like depending on where they were found. We look at humans and we see how they were buried which reveals their religious practices, and customs. U can learn lots about people & animals that have died, u just need an open mind.

  • lol evolution being discussed on this video as well. let me guess, no such thing as pyramids?

  • Wonder what future generations will think when they see my doodles from highschool?

  • So how long was the average Egyptian work week?

  • they had slaves so i would guess 7 days?

  • that 's something!!!

  • so how come this time when we find a rock with lines on it instead of saying we are programmed to see things out of lines and assuming it to be a natural formation we chose to believe that it was designed by a human?

    i find this humorous.

  • those drawings and shit were clearly not naturally formed, if that's what you were talking about

  • if you think I really thought that then you missed the point...

  • What specifically is your point?

  • on one hand we are told by the scientists that our minds are designed through years of evolution to detect patterns and faces and sort of "make up" the idea of design in our head and therefor there the idea of intelligent design is foolish.

and then they turn around, pick up a rock with lines on it (the drawing isn't complete... lines were faded and missing.) and say for certain that it was designed. using their own logic it's quite reasonable to think this rock with lines formed that way, no?

  • Suck a damn dick.

  • why?

  • Well in this case design makes sense and is highly likely, because there is no good explanation for how drawings resembling other egyptian sketches form naturally on tablets.

In the case of life on earth which you appear to be alluding to for some reason, there's absolutely no explanation for how life could be designed by means OTHER than natural processes.

  • "because there is no good explanation for how drawings resembling other egyptian sketches."

so you assume from the limited knowledge of what we have seen and found to date.

"there's absolutely no explanation for how life could be designed by means OTHER than natural processes."

how do you figure? there's an explanation in the bible. that's one.

  • So, you're saying that they can't say that life wasn't intelligently designed?

  • right.

  • The hell, any fool can tell the difference between a work of art and a specimen that is living or lived. And with that you can tell, or at least have an idea on how it was formed through examination.

It's logic like the above that will drive our civilization into the ground or at least stop all progress...that is to say if the person wasn't just playing devil's advocate and messing around, if so, good fun.

  • "And with that you can tell, or at least have an idea on how it was formed through examination."

explain this please. i'd love to hear it.

  • Just go look at «Bonobo» vids on Youtube.

Those chimps behave a lot like we do today, even on an emotional level.

Evolution is a slow process, we are slow learners, and go check History : the first written laws were designed in old Iran/Irak 2000 years B.C.

But continue questioning what you see/hear : that's part of the evolution process! Change through continuity.

    Cheers!

  • "Those chimps behave a lot like we do today, even on an emotional level."

that doesn't prove evolution one bit, sir.

  • who gives a shit evolution has already been proven countless times.

and by the way the Egyptians didn't have nearly as many slaves as we first thought, 95% of the workers where well payed workers.

  • I am trying my hardest to understand what your second paragraph is trying to make us understand, maybe its your wording that is throwing us off...

i agree with the first paragraph though.

  • well thanks for trying at least :)

my point was basically why is it acceptable for scientist to pick up one rock, see lines and say they must have naturally formed and then another day pick up a rock, see lines and assume that rock had a creator/designer.

i was trying to make the point that they use one argument against intelligent design and then turn around and use the opposite reasoning so long as it fits their story they're working on.

  • From what I've seen science isnt as "set in stone" as our highschool teachers told us it was... the glory (and downfall) of science is that its always changing, just as the Earth changes so must we.

however, this "flip flopping" of theories that scientists as well as other humans have about the whole "creation/creator" thing just proves that we havent even begun to understand anything about our Earth or ourselves.

  • straight lines do NOT form naturally in nature. its a fact

  • have you ever seen crystal?

  • based on what? we haven't seen everything in nature.

  • lol nature has simply not figured out the quickest way to the top, this is why our buildings tower over trees and other naturally forming things

  • this is one convoluted-ass thread, I'll just ignore most of it and reply again to you, scjason420.

Ok man, the Bible doesn't explain jack shit. It says God created the Heavens and the Earth blah blah. Now that begs a lot of questions, but the main question is: **How in the hell did it do that?**

it's a claim, not an explanation.

Evolution ACTUALLY EXPLAINS how life has changed and diversified from simpler cells.Take a goddamn course in evolution, then argue with me.

not tryin to b a dick btw

  • "it explains what some guys imagination thought up as an alternative to God."

No, it's years and years of research as an alternative to some guy's imagination otherwise known as God.

  • I'm really not trying to be a dick. I want you to realize that 'God' is an old, old idea that people thought up because they had no evidence to show how history has really progressed. Please get educated, it's not indoctrination, it's information. You've been brought up going to church and stuff, am I right? You've been told that evolution is a fairy tale by your creationist pastor, right? Well he's a liar with an agenda, don't listen to him. I hope that someday ul make your own decisions.

  • thank fuck for you, ive been flicking through semi religious sights and other non related sites and find so many twits trying to sell a religious view.

What's with the amount of poorly presented arguments for god's existence, and the lack of correct scientific information morphing into factual belief?

I've lost count how many times i've posted a paragraph similar to yours. i thought i was surrounded by idiots.

Anyway thank fuck for you cos i ain't thankn god this lifetime lol

  • "I want you to realize that 'God' is an old, old idea that people thought up because they had no evidence to show how history has really progressed" ...ironically that notion of god is a fairly new one, well relatively speaking.

  • you sure about that

  • If you want to discuss this some more then gimme a shout in the PM's. Although you may not.

We're probably pissing people off cause it's pretty unrelated to this video, after all. Trust me man, I'm trying to level with you. There's an enormous amount of information on how exactly evolution works and trust me, it makes a helluva lot of sense.

If you're interested and have time let me know

  • They where smart... Just like we are now.

  • they were smarter i think. look at all that they did without everything we have now.

  • God praise you my son!

You are smarter than everyone else here, alleluia! God must have spent a little more time on you!

"Those chimps behave a lot like we do today, even on an emotional level." : that shows we are not the only animals with emotions + that shows our biological roots as sapiens.

But of course, if you prefer «religion» to biology, that's fine with me, sir.

  • ...you scare me.

  • Sorry to scare you...!

I was just answering to Scjason420... he's the one who scares me with all his posted comments here, hehehe!

    Love your Orange background btw!

    Cheers!

  • 5TH!

  • The Egyptians have become the consummate masters of fake artifacts and staged discoveries. So much so, that I have completely lost confidence in Egyptology. The truth, whatever that is, is evidently quite different from the story they would have us believe. But there are so many layers of fraud that it may never be sorted out. Because of this defilement of the true history, I must disregard scientific conclusions that are based on falsified evidence.

  • well you could probably look into it a bit more before you dismiss it totally as fraud, but good point

  • You're right, I will.

  • Cool. . . I'm fascinated w/ancient culture. It proves people haven't changed. . . we have persevered through climate change, natural disasters, terrorism, war, good, and evil times, as well as worked, lived, laughed, loved...and many have always had faith in their lives. The methods of living are the only things that have changed.

  • true!
