is it the audio quality or is it really is? she's so off key here. i mean, she's not hitting the exact notes not like her "tokyo dome, and madison garden performance". i know those performances are dubbed that's why she sounds clean and clear. is these how she really sounded like with her TV performances of this song?

@KateConan i have seen that, seems like dubbed as well. she doesn't sound raw unlike here. most of her raw sounding performances are the ones that were not dubbed.

@aregatokek Yeah, but "Fantasy" has never been an easy song, even for Mariah herself sometimes. I think no singers can make sure they can always sing every note of their own songs as exactly as in the studio version =))) Cheers !!!

@KateConan actually, most of her dubbed performances are the ones that were not broadcasted live on TV, that's why those also are the weaker performances, this video is the weakest i think among all the live version of fantasy. she rarely gave a good live performances on live TV shows actually. if not dubbed, partially lipped

@aregatokek Actually, most of her songs are hard ones, it's not always easy even for her to sing them fluently. These songs usually have a few layers of voice, of course she had to mix her live voice with them by lipsyncing to make a complete performance like the studio version. And she kept saying she had stage fright in her first days of her career, and we could realize that easily =))) No matter how bad her live performances were, I still love her ^^

@artookhey i wish she would have too but the truth is her vocal chords are not what they used to be. Even in some of her early preformances the notes she was hitting were forced and not all came easy. this is coming from a mariah lover his self she will sadly never sing the same.

@KristenJn I think if she'd at least just taken the coat off, that would've been a better balance between overly conservative and overly sexual. You'd be able to see her figure, without really seeing anything if you know what I mean. I think its appropriate to dress conservatively for more serious songs, but for songs like this, especially after seeing the video you would expect a bit more skin showing, cos it would match the mood of the song. I blame Tommy & Sony
