Hey buddies if ur in windows you might get confused of changing the file format go to folder option in windows and uncheck the "hide extension for known file type"

cool. nv knew itunes cld do this. im assuming with this video i can use customized ringtones and sms tones with the iphone 2g? or do i haf to install an app? cuz some of my friends say the iphone 2g cant use customized ringtones/sms tones...

Either go to folder options and select Show Extensions or you can just right click and click properties. You can see the file extension there. Choose M4A and change that to M4R

i have successfully added the ringtone, but I dunno why i cannot sync the ringtone into my iphone. It shows "0 ringtone"!

Go to View -> Folder Properties -> Show file extensions
Then you will either see m4a or m4r
