We bought this car & it's GREAT! Nothing but grins when you drive it & big thumbs up from other drivers!! 2011 has the new engine but this 4.6 engine is VERY FAST. As for comment by Edmunds about the steering wheel... stupid! It's a meaty/attractive wheel w/real aluminum trim (not plastic) & the center is fine. It does have to house an airbag so what the hell are they talking about? Regular suspension is great and makes a fun daily road car. Get one if U can, U'll love it!!!

Incidentally, those previous Toyota problems were a result of American standard safety protocols being imposed on foreign parts (German/Japanese). Ford needs to make the mustang an all around performer like they have done with the Focus RS. If they can manage to keep the mustangs ferocious speed but fix handling so it no longer gets creamed on twisty roads, it should help it become more popular outside of Canada and USA

The Focus RS is designed by Germans, it just has a Ford badge to make it seem American. Unless those designers move to the U.S., the Mustang will probably continue fall behind to the handling fun of the Focus RS.

While I give props to Ford for improving this car with the track pack, they need a proper IRS and not a live axle to make this car shine. Rumors have it the live rear suspension doesn't even help save costs anymore. (Read this on Motortrend)

Ford had clearly stated it was mostly about the cost. As for wheel hop? This is an old old argument. While modern IRS don't completely prevent wheelhop, it's not that much of an issue anymore as they can dampen the force of the wheel a lot better when it's forcing itself up.
