  • I can only state that I love the sound, the rythme, the music

  • Thank you for posting - I never knew or appreciated Art Tatum although I have been a Jazz fan since 1957. I really enjoy getting to know him here on You Tube.

  • his style like mozart

  • @uzaysamet Leonard Bernstein said the the same thing in the sense that they both understood music in a way that allowed them to re-harmonize music in endless inventions.

  • @bluesinorbit I know lol I wish they would have did an interview with Tatum at least asking him how he did what he did! I think personally however, that it was because of their ability to *memorize* what they heard immediately. I think that was the real key. Both Mozart, and we know Tatum had an incredible memory for melodies. Im sure it's more than that, but I know that was definitely a huge help in their abilities to understand music that deep along with of course creativity & imagination.

  • @16yearoldwhiteboy I'm sure he was asked that many times along with all the other geniuses so overwhelming brilliant that they became legends in their lifetime. We never get a clear answer though. They simply do.
