  • You guys said that the 72% and 87% were high numbers, maybe they were, but how did these guys obtain polls. I remember, when I was in college and people would ask me about polls they were all pretty much optional, we'd get a summary of the subject and if we were interested in the subject we'd participate. Ex, if it was a political poll, or a health/healthcare related poll I'd participate. If it was about The Hills, I wouldn't. Those numbers are high, but it's possible that those are accurate.

  • Why do the young people go conservative? Conservatives claim, but do not believe in freedom! Is common sense gone from our youth?

  • @zappp111 most people like you have been feed with all these liberal b.s. in colleges from professors who really don't know much about Real Politics.

  • I had a good friend in college who came to college a priests daughter and went back home a nudist

  • Love your Michigan State shirt! Go Green!

  • As a college student, I can tell you that there is a huge percentage of people who do not support Ron Paul now that they have researched him. He is disgusting.

  • @mikuveg cuz you go to a shitty college.failure.

  • @mikuveg Don't believe the lies. The media lies, and lies some more. I am curious as to what makes him disgusting. I'm serious, please tell me what they find disgusting.???

  • @mikuveg i bet it's just because he propose on eliminating dept. of education that is basically bankrupting our country slowly but deadly.

  • as a liberal, ive watched all the main republican debates.

  • progressives are to preachy and have nothing to show

  • in the thumbnail for this video, does anyone see a pair of knockers in the bg b/w ana and jr? kinda looks like it...

  • sweet Michigan State shirt man

  • Jayar, Jayar, Jayar, you break my heart :( </3

switch that scummy shirt for something a bit more...blue?

  • I can't stand watching the Republican debates, it's too much ridiculousness for me to handle. Their agenda and their choice of words make my stomach churn. They're unjustifiably too radical right wing for me.

  • College STUDENTS love Ron Paul.

College GRADUATES laugh at his ignorance and naivete.

  • The only thing Paul has going for him is the drug war and the wars, other than that HE'S BATSHIT FUCKING CRAZY

  • @MrHav1k He's also got a few points about the Fed, inflation, and our liberties. The rest is bat crap.

  • @MrHav1k yeah only the radical cares about our national debt, civil liberties

  • @MrHav1k Your bud Huntsman agrees with the NDAA bill & Patriot Act..

Now that is BATSHIT FUCKING CRAZY!

  • @MrHav1k ending wars is crazy? fixing the economy is crazy? following the constitution is crazy????

  • @MrHav1k

Oh... you mean two high priority topics? Crazy, bro.

  • @MrHav1k are you still clinging to the hopey changy b.s.?

  • I'm voting for sure....

This man DOES NOT deserve a second term...

    Jon Huntsman FTW!

  • What I don't understand is why you have to register to vote... if you're a citizen... then you should be able to vote np

  • I watch every Republican debate. I'm in highschool. I guess I do live and die for politics.

  • how many total people polled, from which colleges, what kind of poll [live, written, anonymous], how many identify as democrats, hard to evaluate this info without these details.

  • meh, I'm a college student and I like Ron Paul, I was never polled..

  • There's a difference between Socialism and Keynesianism. Just because a government is providing welfare doesn't mean that government is Socialist. Consider what the end goal is of providing that welfare? Is it truly an attempt to redistribute collective wealth? Do you think Democrats in the US seriously believe in the concept of collective wealth? No, they're Keynesian, it's stimulus; Give poor people money so that they can buy things and keep the economy going. Not Socialism.

  • Ron Paul 2012. whats up with your boy Olbermann..he's becoming quit the biased propagandist. Declaring Ron Paul worst person of the day because a small group of supporters made a video about huntsman in bad taste. it was not endorsed by Ron Paul and he most likely isnt even aware of it..Why would Ron Paul care about huntsman? he polls at 1-5%..the only reason Santorum surged was bc of Rupert Murdochs last minute endorsement as well as the evangelicals. Kieth Olberman should be ashamed of himself

  • I just bought an Imac 21 inch... Put the video on full screen

And I'm going to get into trouble for saying it... But Damn Anna! you're still fine

  • i'm surprised so many students identify as republican... i wonder what the statistics would be if they excluded strictly religious schools like BYU and Nodre Dame. i go to ohio state and we don't take kindly to republicans around here lol - campus is the reason ohio isnt a full-blown red state.

  • I am not interested in politics. All this stuff is just a waste of time because all of politicians are liars. If I was a politician then I'd be a liar too, for my personal gain. Like it or not, this is just how it is. That's why I don't give a hoot about it.

  • I am to the right. Authoritarian right.

  • @sobeboyzz A pleb who is also an authoritarian? Interesting, I thought your kind was just a myth.

  • @sobeboyzz Tbe worst kind of right.

  • America is like North Korea. The only difference is that Americans are *intentionally* uninformed. They have everything available to them, yet, there are so many retards who can't even pinpoint their own country on a map of North America. No wonder politicians and media manipulate everything the way they do. Its sickening.

  • There is no food in Nigeria! Ana! You so silly!

  • food from nigeria...

  • Ya college students tend to be progressive.

  • There is one thing I have to ask about Young Republicans and Young Libertarians who support Ron Paul. If a state that the college they passed a voter ID law that discriminates college students, would Ron Paul support that state's right to do so? Where would that leave those college students that support him?

  • In my country (Northern Ireland) about 5% of my friends vote due to the "Tribal Politics" and that 5% will vote Green party

  • @killshot123 and the reSt (90%) won't vote?

  • WOW !!!!........I just read a U.S. News and World Report article that said "Ron Paul Won With Youth in Iowa, Mitt Romney With Seniors"

Of course, the article was about people 30 and under....not just college students....but, still.....

  • @e199sigma I think we both agree that his use of the word socialism was confusing considering that socialism can be defined economically like you were doing or politically as I was doing. However, the ideals I stated are pivotal to its description, and the inclusion of a government is an add-on to the original meaning. Anarchists simply want to remove the middle man (the state) from an otherwise autonomous and functioning socialist community based on collectivism and the elimination of class.

  • The only college students the politicians and running candidates care about are the college students who happen to be children of the 1%

  • the candidates aren't wasting time on college students because they're working on stripping colleges and students of as much funding as possible. no point in trying to win the favor of a demographic that you're actively screwing over.

  • Not voting, elections are just theatrical puppetry

  • Jayars back!

  • Food from Nigeria is a scam.

  • @Bonifeks51 Socialism refers to welfare and providing for all groups in society. It also involves the elimination of a social hierarchy. Socialism can involve representative democracy as in Europe, but as long as a state exists, then there will be no true equality. Anarchy takes the liberalism of socialism and just removes the state, which is ultimately based on the validity of others granting this entity power. When conditions are met, then society may no longer need a state to maintain order.

  • Going by his gubernatorial record, Romney is by far a more progressive leader than Obama has been

  • @e199sigma I think he meant the ideals of socialism, as in eliminating classes and promoting true equality and opportunity. Anarcho-communism is the union of the two, and as far as I understand it, the system is basically self-sufficient organizationalism (hence, no state is needed). It's a system that I think is plausible, but definitely not in our current society and widespread compliance for the very systems and unfounded ideals that hold us back as a species.

  • @IntelligentsiaUS Except those "ideals of socialism" don't really have much to do with socialism at all. Granted, they're great objectives that socialism can help to achieve, but at the end of the day, socialism is nothing more than a system where the economy is partially free-market and partially government-run. Technically, America IS a socialist nation, and has been since its inception, but due to the Cold War, it's been lumped together with communism as a catch-all for Marxist ideals.

  • In college I am/was doing underwater basketweaving

  • I live and die for politics.

  • 99.9% of students polled agreed that TYT poll results are about as fair and balanced as Fox News

  • @somaco7 Where did you get that from?

  • @somaco7 "Campus Live did a poll of college students to see what their political opinions are." Don't blame TYT if you think the poll is biased they didn't conduct it. And Ana said in the beginning to keep in mind the poll relied on self reporting.

  • a lil' durtydurty brah.

  • Ron Paul 1812!

  • Barack Obama: We voted for a progressive and got a moderate Republican. That's basically how I feel at this point.

  • brah? (what)

  • I'm in university and I'm an socialist of the anarchist persuasion. Where's my representation brah? I used to believe in US electoral policits, but then I took a Citizens United to the knee.

  • Comment removed

  • @youngbuck189 Wait...anarchist socialist? You, uh...you DO realize that socialism means that the government controls certain key parts of the economy, right? You know, things like the fire departments, the education system, the cops, all that loveliness. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't anarchy sort of antithetical to giving the government ANY power? I'm just saying.

  • @e199sigma I challenged something like this earlier. The answer I got was that this refers to an alternate view of anarchy where workers and the people have direct control over the decision making process - something along the lines of socialism. Which is not how you or I (or most people) define anarchy, obviously.

  • @e199sigma Socialism doesn't necessarily mean government takes control of anything. There is such a thing as stateless Socialism. That's what Anarchy is, Socialism that isn't forced. Anarchism is the antithesis of Capitalism, it is voluntary Socialism as it were as opposed to forced Socialism which would be state Socialism. infoshop dot org/page/AnAnarchistFAQ

  • @youngbuck189 Aren't Socialism and Anarchism at completely polar ends of the political spectrum?

  • @youngbuck189 Can an anarchist have representation, by definition?

  • @youngbuck189 Are you trying to be ironic or sarcastic by calling yourself a socialist of the anarchist persuasion?

  • @retsaf1 How is that ironic

  • @watermelonygoodness Anarchy is the complete absence of government and laws. Socialism is when the government takes over services that could be done by the private sector like libraries, health care, etc. So by saying you are a socialist of the anarchist persuasion is like saying I hate country music and my favorite musician is Garth Brooks. They are opposite so I thought you were trying to be ironic/sarcastic, or you just didn't know what you were talking about so I thought I would ask.

  • @retsaf1 Well it wasn't me who said it. But, respectively, it seems like it's actually you who doesn't know what they are talking about. Yes, Anarchy is the absence of government, but it is more than that. It is voluntary associations, collectives, what have you depending on which Anarchist you're talking to. No, Socialism is not necessarily the government taking over the private sector. That is one branch of Socialism (state Socialism), the other being stateless Socialism (Anarchism.)

  • @youngbuck189 me too!!

  • @youngbuck189 I'm a democratic socialist, I feel the same way about representation

  • @youngbuck189 You might enjoy neocameralism. ;)

  • @youngbuck189 Closest thing would be Bernie Sanders. He's a Socialist.

  • @youngbuck189 you must love Current, Raw Story..Alternet..all socialist websites verging on propaganda.

  • @amillerps as a socialist i can ensure you not one of those you mentioned is remotley close to being socialist. if anything it's mildy left wing americanism. there is no socialism in america, the US government killed it, and jailed all the Socialists in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s.

  • @youngbuck189 Democrats believe in a mixed economy which is about half Socialist and half Capitalist.

  • @simonburbank no they do not

  • @youngbuck189 Welfare, Social Security, High taxes etc.

  • @simonburbank None of what you mentioned is socialist. You're not well educated on the subject, so I'm going to stop interacting with you.

  • @youngbuck189 I AM NOT WORTHY OF YOUR INTERACTION.

  • @youngbuck189 Excellent density of troll attempts. Well done.

  • @manonthemount People are stupid.

  • Damn Ana's really hot in this one

  • Ron Paul supporters are probably gonna call that poll a lie 27%.

  • His main demographic has only 27% supporting him. Not too good...

  • @AndrewMatt16 I'm not a Paul fan, but I think a large portion of his base wouldn't identify as either Republican or Democrat; they'd be either "undecided" or Independents.

Just what I figured. I may be completely wrong and Paul's popularity among young voters may just be totally overstated. *shrug*

  • @DyslexicChaos my guess is it is a mix of both. Youth don't seem overly on board with Ron Paul, but some of his support may also come from independant sources, or even frustrated progressive voters as opposed to traditional GOP.

  • @AndrewMatt16 thats because its 27% of the 15% of college republicans, i'm sure he'd do a lot better with independents and democrats

  • @AndrewMatt16 That's 27% of REPUBLICAN college students...which is 15% of students.

  • @ooMONKEYoo That's even worse for him.

  • @AndrewMatt16 If you say so.

  • @AndrewMatt16 rofl. yeah. my friend was telling me this the other day. i laughed. for a long time.

  • @AndrewMatt16 dude..that 27% percent is from the 15% of students who call consider themselves republicans..not 27% of all college students..and half of paul's votes at iowa were new voters and independents.

  • @amillerps and everyone who has thumbs up you is just another sheep like the fox viewers..mindless..cant think...or didnt pay attention...or were to busy looking at Ana's boobs..

  • @amillerps Wow. You Ron Paul supporters certainly like to insult people.

  • @AndrewMatt16 I don't hate Ron Paul but when I say there's an issue I disagree with him on I get jumped on...Can't have a rational debate with one sadly.

  • @Steanu We Paulbots aren't all like that. It's just that a considerable portion of us grew up conservative, and you can't be a decent, god-fearing Republican if you don't think that everyone else is lying to you. I've gotten over that mentality. I don't know how many other Paul supporters who grew up with that problem still have it.

  • @AndrewMatt16 omg could you be any dumber? 27%, of kids who identify as republicans. so in other words, they didnt count independants or democrats who'd vote ron paul. or, the other 85% of kids. 41 ppl who gave you thumbs up are just as bad at math.

  • @MachinaSapien Wow. You Ron Paul supporters certainly like to insult people.

  • @AndrewMatt16 that's 27% that consider themselves republican.

I would never call myself a republican and I support Ron Paul.

Most of his supporters do not call themselves republicans.

  • @mesmokumpeacepipe Oh, definitely...Ron Paul is way too liberal to be a republican himself. I would also never call myself and republican and I am also support Ron Paul.

  • @furuzon12

Ron Paul is a paleoconservative, not a liberal.

  • @furuzon12 go to youtube and type in Peter Schiff was right, he was ron paul's economic advisers in 2008, hope you will like his economic policies, he will shock you, we have to stop the so called quantitative easing engineered by wall street.

  • @trueconservatie33 alright, i'll do it now...you can never be too informed!

  • @AndrewMatt16 Amongst *Republicans*. Did they poll Indys and Dems in the lot and asked their preference too? Bet Paul would come out on top, because his appeal crosses party lines.

  • Whats going on here brah?

  • whudup doe brah? i really talk this

  • i would have just said i watch TYT because thats what i did

  • I am a Young Turk brah!

  • Sup Brahs

  • more people want to vote than people are interesting in politics? somehow I fell uncomfortable...

  • post something brah

  • hey brah

  • double

  • second

  • hell
