He pulls his arm up & it immediately detonates, the blast sprays debris out from the inside of the wall towards the military vehicle, meaning it came from right under the pile or right behind it. He was apparently holding some sort of detonator cord or whatever, thats why neither he nor the vehicle was damaged, well he was not killed, Im sure he was "damaged". The main blast was not under the vehicle or on the man.

I'm just throwing this out there, two things: Judging by the size of the explosion, that had to be some heavy ordinance, more than just a 40mm. I've seen 40mm explosions and they aren't this big. Now why would soldiers shoot ordinance that large soo close to their own guys? Why not just use a 50cal? Second, why wouldn't they stop moving well before hand? To say that this was the vehicle shooting something like an AT4, LAW, or even a tank round somehow, does not make sense to me.

Dude, it was a random civilian in the wrong place at the right time. It was an IED, not a suicide bomber. And, no, US forces did not fire on him, it was a glare or reflection...a tank would not fire a round that close to another friendly vehicle. Some of you guys seem to take off your thinking caps when you look at these youtube videos.

@Hernt26 right before it explodes you can see the guy's left arm jerk like he's hitting an initiator...I won't say it was 100% bad guy or good guy, but if I saw that little twitch from his arm and he's just standing in that exact spot, I'm clearing my boys to get rid of him. That's all the rationale I need to make that decision.

@Hernt26 i agree. if all of you think this is a suicide bomber why not watch the footage closley and look at the curb on the right. if he was a suicide bomber there would be a hole where he was standing based on the bomb concussion. unless this was oif1 us forces would not fire until they had a good sitrep.

@Hernt26 NO if you watch again, see the rubble pile in the middle of the wall. He pulls his arm up & it immediately detonates, the blast sprays debris out from the inside of the wall towards the military vehicle, meaning it came from right under the pile or right behind it. He was apparently holding some sort of detonator cord or whatever, thats why neither he nor the vehicle was damaged, well he was not killed, Im sure he was "damaged". The main blast was not under the vehicle or on the man.

Most attacked occured like this or were plain old ambushes set up by scumbags in civilian clothes. In my opinion there should of been rules set up where anyone set loitering for more than a minute would be fair game, any broken down car blown up and anyone digging ditches on the highway shot on site

I'm just throwing this out there, two things: Judging by the size of the explosion, that had to be some heavy ordinance, more than just a 40mm. I've seen 40mm explosions and they aren't this big. Now why would soldiers shoot ordinance that large soo close to their own guys? Why not just use a 50cal? Second, why wouldn't they stop moving well before hand? To say that this was the vehicle shooting something like an AT4, LAW, or even a tank round somehow, does not make sense to me.

That wasn't a muzzle flash, just the camera getting jarred during the explosion. The guy wasn't even a suicide bomber (as in he wasn't wearing a vest), the explosion came from the curbside.

Why does everyone have to automatically assume that the military are the bad guys? Notice how there is a pile of rubble in the exact location of the explosion before the explosion happens? That is concealing the IED. Second of all, I don't know any weapon in the US arsenal that could make that large of an explosion with such a small "muzzle flash" as you guys called it. Last, why would the convoy stop and a bradley drop of soldiers to secure the area and look for secondary IED's?
