the sony extra bass have better bass, but if you wanted some really nice heaphones i would recommend the bose ae2, amazing, beats are all in for the looks, the only reason beats are so famous is beacuse you see them in tv ads and things, not saying they are bad , but when you buy a $400 studios i can get better ones from about $100 from senheisser or sony

If you set the your ipod to bass reduced, it sounds great. Otherwise, it's too bassy. I know most people think that you can never have too much bass, but it can drown out the highs and mids. Dre says that the point is to hear what the artist made. This isn't it.

Noise cancellation can block out outside sound, but it can affect the music in a bad way.

If you're gonna spend that much money on headphones, buy a professional pair like AKG's cause honestly, the pros don't use these.

bose headphones are spectacular! i have the on ear and they blow the beat solos out of the water! plus they dont leak sound at alllllll i want a pair of the white studios but mainly for the looks but bose has superior sound! all around anyways. they thump just like the beats. bose also has better noise reduction! so dont be hatin! aha jks. but bose and the beats are neck in neck with sound quality hands down! great review

The Beats By Dre are alot of money but I feel they are worth it if u listen to alot of hip hop/rock. They arent for true audiophiles though who im sure wud rather use hd600s or Beyerdynamic. But then again you wud need to buy a amp for that also. These are good and I got a pair as well. Im not the best one to talk to considering these are the first "good" pair of headphones i baught. but i think they are amazing.

I've been following these headphones pretty much since they came out. They have 'em at best buy and I listened to 'em. I personally didn't initially hear the different from my skullcandy in-ear headphones, maybe except that it was a little louder. i have a question to anyone who owns a pair of these headphones....

I just recently purchased them, just a little over a week now, and i seem to be having a problem with them. It seems that i can hear bits of static throughout some songs, as if one of my speakers are blown out. I do not play any music any louder than 3/4 the volume bar on my ipod, and all my songs are CD rips, but i do play my songs with a "Rock" EQ on my ipod settings. So my question is, anyone else experience this problem?
