@Cripwalker2006 What i am writing about you mean :-) how many years is it that they have sent the Hover telescope to space!!? We know that there are sending life pictures 24 hours a day, and until now most people of the world have seen a couple of pictures from it!! there isnt a site which shows exacly what few people at the top are observing!! why?Because some private ultra rich, Greedy groups have highJacked Goverments around the world. Bad times, and its going to get much worse!! Now you know
LOL, what we see in the sky may not be there anymore because we are talking about light years. The human mind will never understand the vastness of the Universe no matter how hard we try. What is the point of seeing what was there before while we do not have the capability of seeing what is there now?
@VictorValleyMuseum Never the less the heavens declare the glory of God. The heavens showeth his handy work, stars are being born, and the possibility of new planets, and new life. Therefore creation is still going on. The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. God is still involved in creating whatever in the universe. Christ said in my father house are many mansions, and I go to prepare a place for those that love me. Those that love me will also love their neighbor doing good.
kobidobidog : "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.". Typical anthropic view of the anally retentive superstitious. Get a grip, you barking mad nut job.
@0sacrosanct What I am saying is creation is still taking place in the gas clouds in outer space, and that a 7 day creation is only made for man. that is all. Humans have been hurt that thought otherwise.
These are multiple reflections, the one on the bottom is a reflection of the top one; the entire picture is a reflection of the sword nebula on layers of plasma. Nothing you see in this picture is real. NGC 2024 is a reflection of the Mother Rock in the sword when it exploded-see the round orange object top center? My videos and website show pieces of the story.
ha hah... Exactly... Even though it's called that way, it didn't seem to bother any of my fellow citizens when Microsoft was selling 'Windows Vista'... The unusual name was obvious right away, yet strangely nobody cared enough to even make a joke out of it.. Go figure.. :D
scientists should no longer have the right to name stuff, they should substitute a binary or a greek or hebrew letter or x until someone more competent at choosing names, meaning someone else, can provide a good name.
Now that IS a Best Of Science video. No politcs, no unproven theories. Just a straight forward talk about the equipment and surveys it will do with great sample images. And when it's all said and done, all the data is public. That's real science! Build the equipment, take the observations, and publish the data for everyone to see.
there needs to be a permanent institution that provides scientists around the world with new words and names that dont suck.
they too often use a terribly unimaginative name like "very large telescope", and then turn it into an acronym, "VLT". and they even stick to this dull routine if the result sucks. Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy.
PUT AN END TO IT! get some people that write fantasy books or that design games or artists or whatever to provide some good names.

@Temuldjin It may well suck, it depends on whether the air conditioning is turned on.
However I do not believe that it will need as many updates as the Operating system of the same name.

How does this telescope compare with the Hubble?
stukajunker88 2 years ago
@stukajunker88 You can't really compare them, Hubble is a space telescope and VISTA is grounded.
dannyboyfour 2 years ago
The Hubble is like a dinky toy and VISTA is like Star Trek Enterprise. This comparison is Fair and Balanced.

are quarks what make up protons and neutrons

Yes. Quarks make hadrons and the most stable hadrons are protons and neutrons. This is where the name "Large Hadron Collider" comes from.
