  • The Thorough Bred of Transportation. Great catch

  • The best part of video for me was the closeup of R/R track intersection device. Always wondered how that worked and what it looked like. Close examination of the wear patterns show direction of travel. My guess is the outside corner pieces need replacing occasionally from wear. Impact patterns indicates wheels are airborne at gap. I wonder why inside guides are used? Is train speed limit 40mph over intersection? Thanks for posting, interesting.

  • the norfolk southern railroad line were you are right now is it going west to east or north to south

  • liked:D

  • Imagine living near that crossing point. lol!

  • Excelente

  • norfolksouthern is #1 csx is #2 for my favorite trains!!

  • Is the last diamond picture two abandoned lines meeting

  • @CSXandSpartanfan33 - no, it's the discarded diamond that was replaced in the prior pics/video

  • @BaltimoreAndOhioRR That thing must have taken loads and loads of trains, tear and wear...wouldn't that look good in a front yard? :)

  • damn hes movin

  • a u was w ameryce jest jedna wielka spółka kolejowa ??

A nie tak jak u nas PKP na PKP ic, PKP PR i PKP cargo :)

  • I hate csx diomonds we cross 2 of them on the Youngstown line and they seem to always have priority...... Many hours spent waiting on them....

  • nice

  • Nice.

  • Nice video.

  • what does the red and green light mean?

  • @NS2658 Read over green typically means clear.

  • it would had sucked if for some reason a csx train was coming down the other line xD

  • @Heroduothecomedian - yeah... i was thinking it was odd that 2 competing railroads crossed each other's tracks like this... but i guess it's done in many places.

  • @BaltimoreAndOhioRR Ummmm its done all the time everwere... Come to Indiana, there are tons of places where tracks all cross...

  • Hmmm no pivot light on top aspect..... Odd.

  • What's the authorized speed through this diamond?

  • Where were the photos at the end taken?

  • @starguard - right at that same spot, or within 50 yards or so....

  • I'm so sorry, I accidently pressed the dislike button. :(

  • @VideoZombieFTW -you can unpress it by pressing the like button

  • @BaltimoreAndOhioRR Yeah, I did.

  • so how do you know when the trains are coming? do you stand around and wait or????

  • @aval1998 i have a scanner. but a little of both!

  • @aval1998 ATCS monitor program.

  • I really love the view of the train rolling by. Wonderful recording.

  • Nice!

  • To update what I posted awhile back, you can be assured of at least 6 daylight moves through Charles Town on the NS. CSX has D791 come through on its way to Winchester and return in the middle of the night. Once in awhile D790 will run down to Winchester late in the afternoon but more often than not just goes as far as Millvale

  • great location nice filming thanks

  • awsome spot.. are both these tracks mainlines?

  • @arlingtontrains7 -the NS is, but not really the CSX

  • こんなに長い貨物初めて

  • That is an awesome location!!!! Great video too!!!!!

  • The beginning Is like the end of starwars

  • lol then he see's a csx chasin the norfolk and southern shooting at them

  • That was originally N&W track. It is a diamond and BORR was standing beside the seldom used, crossing CSX track. This diamond was replaced last year by NS and now you have NS trains crossing at track speed (40 MPH).

  • Who had those kind of CPLs? Considering your location, it's not the Pennsy.

  • @claimless

Norfolk & Western, those CPL's are their style. its from when the PRR held a large stake in the N&W and influnced practices and operations.

  • The CPL is cool theres one in shepardstown and berryville those are the only ones I know of

  • Was that an abandoned set of track or just a diamond? BTW those actually look like csx tracks there lol and Great video!!!!

  • Nice spot and catch. Nobody ever seems to shoot video or pics there. NS is good for anywhere from 6-10 trains through there in daylight and CSX has the Rock Runner out of Millvale and its empties plus a turn fo and from Winchester. The Runners I believe come through there in the afternoon but I'm not sure about the turn to Winchester, I think that may go down in the middle of the night

  • can u tell me around whereto find it and what traffic there is and how many trains

  • @trainmasta227 Go through Charles town , just outside town Rt 51 crosses the NS tracks. walk them north about 1/4 mile to where they cross the CSX tracks. I've only been here a few times, so I don't know what traffic comes through. I think about 2 or so NS a day. I think the CSX is even less. I've never seen anything on there yet.

  • Awesome! I liked it

  • a super shot way to go

  • Excelente, felicitaciones

  • Absolutely fantastically !!! Thanks. 5*****

  • Very good!!!!!!

  • Excellent video! Very interesting place! We rarely see the intersection of two paths in one level!

  • Not far from where I live. Nice video. I've been wanting to get that shot. There's a nice long distant shot off of Luther Jones rd of that NS line.

  • Thanks you, Videos very nice,
