totally agree with most of the ugh comments, but you gotta admit the boss writes a great song, and if nickelback sings it and one of their fans is turned on by it, goes out and discovers the boss, realises that his country needs him, and tries to make changes in the horrors around him, then its worth the cost of them crucifying the song.

This cover of the song by Nickelback is pretty good, and its live too so they cant add any voice effects and the voice is still pretty good.
I'm just glad Nickelback decided to preform the cover, that way people not fans of RATM or Springsteen can hear this awesome song.

you cant compare this band or any band similar for that matter to bruce springsteen. if you want proof all you gotta do is check out the rock and roll hall of fame whic nickelback will never enter. and the unsurpassable amount of fans bruce has gained over the years. i like nickelback tho, daw um twice this year but bruce is simply untouchable.

Wow, if there ever needed to be anymore proof that Nickelback suck, it would be too much. This is an awful desecration of a powerful song. I'm not a huge fan of the RATM version either, but at least they're a talented band. Nickelback are corporate marketed crap that should simply go away. Bruce Springsteen is a talented legend whose music is meant to be sung with meaning and emotion, not thrashed about by a bunch of talentless pricks.
