  • HAHAHA 1 dislike.

    Bet it was Carl hahah.

  • @HumansAreAnimals yep must have been Mr. Patten.

  • So, what happened to the sofa? HAH

  • the ridley report is a joke (anarco). I heard it said once that when you throw a rock over a fence where a pack of dogs live the dog that barks the loudest is the one that got hit. It is interesting that the author of the email to the city mentions their interpretation of the conduct of the officer and never mentions the fact or inquisition as to whether they are in violation or not. Classic distraction of responsibility but the violator.

  • What happens to this couch when it rains? Is it out 24/7? 365?

Assuming that this couch is covered in a fabric, even one that repels water, it is either already showing damage or soon will be. In which case, if I were your neighbor I wouldn't want to see it or smell it.

If the couch is kept against the house and protected from the elements, then you have a point. It's none of their damned business.

  • If my neighbors have a problem, they should come talk to me like adults. We'll get it taken care of. I don't care about what the govt people say.

  • @Rockymelon Generally speaking the problem is not the couch. Most City ordinances is you can not use an interior couch for exterior use. The concept behind it is good is because if you use an interior couch outside it would get rained on and then generate mold. If in fact it creates the wrong kind of mold it produces spurs in the air and when breathing it in it could potentially create health issues or kill you if it spreads in the lungs. This kinda thing is also against the health dept. code.

  • I'll never tell you how to do your activism, Ian, but I'd love to see formal complaint filed. Nothing like government fighting government...

  • That would be consenting to their system. You're welcome to file one, though!

  • Hmm. I saw the first video. I didn't think Mr. Patten was rude. He certainly isn't a "tyrant."

Granted maybe he could have been somewhat more courteous. But what would that change? Your issue is with the city ordinance. Why waste your time complaining about the guy who is enforcing it? Maybe the next person who hands you a $100 fine will be more polite.

That couch must be pretty soggy after all the rain we've had this summer.

  • I didn't complain. He's complaining about the couch on the lawn. I just filmed him complaining.

  • I suppose then Dave is doing the complaining for you.

I wonder if by living in the city and enjoying all the benefits of civilization (and dealing with some of it's drawbacks) you are consenting to the rules? Even if some of those rules are ridiculous (see Ridley's protest of the milk container rule.)

  • @fczwartek "All the benefits of civilization"? LOL. What civilization.

...I guess you mean this vast open prison which is run by banks, corporations, and special interests whose desires the government underwrites and fulfills through its monopoly of force? Yeah, you're right. It's pretty friggin awesome; and since I cannot escape it, that MUST mean that I consent to it! We've really come a long way since the Revolution, huh. USA! USA! USA!

  • time for your nap kiddo

  • Ok. Enjoy your nap. Kiddo.

  • fcz, bottom line son. . . he didn't pay and won't. He won. Your government lost. It's easier to talk when your mouth isn't on the tit of government.

  • You again? I thought you were napping. Son.

I suppose you're not nursing at the teat of government are you? After all you are obviously a rugged individualist who has sworn off all the evils of society. You must live in the woods, with just your guns, dogs and a 4 wheel drive.

But then...how do you have electricity. Or the internet? Where did you learn to read and write?

    Please explain.

  • Bird watching is a dangerous terrorist activity dam it ,the gov can be trusted with power we can not think for ourself thats why we need more gov

power they only want to control us is that a crime ,fox news suck !!

  • it is clear they dont like to be exposed on video

  • i'll accept jesse labor notes as payment for anything you want to buy from me. we'd just need to agree on a valuation.

  • Excellent vid and reporting, Interesting on the Labor notes also, how far will Jesse travel-(probably not two states over). Love the alternative cash concept. Wondering...No response on record from the police who harrassed Mr Johnson and his wife/girlfriend yet?

  • i'm hoping also that more people will produce their own labor notes so we can get a really diversified alternate currency culture in place.

  • Video isn't so silly now is it, Mr. Patten.
