  • Thumbs up if you have a german sheperd!!

  • @moussadastgheib1 I wish, but my parents won't let me have a dog. :l

  • @TheJeremiah948 Same Here

But after a few months of asking my dad FINALLY agreed!

  • @ rettek808 bro my GSD had the same problem till i sat down with her and talked to her like if she understood what i ws telling her that it was nice of her to be fierndly but i needed her to tell me when there was Danger Believe it or Not the next Morning My Friends that were used to her got so scared that she barked at them sometimes i believe they understand the tone you are talking to them i would give it a try it worked for me

  • Mandy again, use a shorter leash to help get him trained. I used to watch the dog whisperer and also bought the book ( about dog training.) I wish you the best of luck! Sounds like a beautiful dog!

  • Mandy, do you walk your dog? It helps. Buy him a bone to chew on, it may help distract him from chewing on other things, it sure helped with our German shepherd. Try to take him out quite a few times and walk around till he goes potty them praise him. I hope this helps. Or put him on a leash so he can play and run around a little.

  • I have a 4 month old German Shepherd Chow mix named Max and he's really small! His ears are still floppy but is natural for him since he's chow mixed. Having no trouble with training or exercise, but we are having problems with potty training. Any tips for us?

  • Adopted a 2yr old GS, Akita mix. Great dog sweet, friendly non aggressive, but HYPER! He's into everything, pulls during walks, doesn't obey at all. I am not sure if he's to set in his ways to teach him obediance. I am home all day and am willing to do whatever it takes. I just don't know where to start. I like him but it's hard to enjoy him when he's so rowdy and destructive! Any suggestions!?

  • once he caught a theif who was trying to climb in.....he dragged him and put himin front of me.though our security gaurd took care of the theif later........................plus my house is of 3 hectersand this happend in pakistan my parents home country though

  • @rettek808 dude my german shephard is an awsome gaurd dog.....he doesnt even let strangers come close to house my house:)....though hes untrained,i watched this vid so icould train him.acually hes only 80 per cent german shepphard and 2o percent bull dog(pakistanii bull dogs and there the size of a motor cycle.)iam canadian

  • My pure bred GSD is 2years old and is the worst guard dog! she's a Large!! good for nothing goofball that never barks at strangers like friends, Fedex, and UPS guys. She only wags their tail at them or just simply doesn't care. She is way too nice... Some GSDʻs are not good guard dogs. Very smart! but not good guard dogs... I would suggest a Rottie or a Doberman for strong protective instinct.

  • my son is will turn 2 yrs old in 2 weeks and we want to get him a german shepherd for his birthday (2 months old) is it a good idea? plus how will start to train him?

  • I have one coming in 6 weeks

  • @curevic give em a break

  • I just got a German Shepherd/ Beagle mix and he's really lazy.. and not interested anything... how do I shape him up to be a well trained doggy? (he's already 4yrs old

    )

  • @Liberalunconformest Train every day for a very short time like 5 minutes. If the dog isnt trained at all teach him every command in small steps and reward every succes with a treat.

Always end the training positive. When the dog gets bored or stressed out you trained too long. He will understand fast that training is worth it and can be fun.

I trained my shepherds with the clicker. Works great with almost every dog. You should give it a try.

  • @Liberalunconformest You're gonna have to teach him that training can be fun and play games with him. Get him active and it should work out :)

  • i have a pure white german shepard he 4 months old he likes to bite but i think he;s playing i want to get it out his system please reply

  • @AviBloodSucker i have the same problem...but mine is a normal GSD..he always bites us =[

  • i have a german shepard but it is hard to train

  • Watch Victoria Stillwell (Me or the dog) on animal planet. She has great tips on training.

  • @SaMStArRuLes Same! My mom doesn't want to take care of it and she thinks it will be a natural born killer or something and "turn on us"

  • I want to get a `GERMAN SHEPHERD' but my dad won't let me

  • @SaMStArRuLeS same here .. :(

  • @BlackDragonSociety91 same here, there so cool,

    good friends, great gaurd dogs

  • Greedings mister Eletendre1. i am 16 years old and am thinking of buying a german shepherd... but am really sceptic because i dont really know if my short body will be able to handle a dog like that... i really love animals thought and i need a protector guard for my yard ... what should i do . Thanks! Theodoros from Cyprus

  • @Theodoroz I'm 15,a girl, not muscly at all, and i can handle it. It's not my dog, its my sisters but i take Daisy out for walks everyday- if she is well trained, walking wont be any problem at all- i barely ever have to struggle with Daisy, and trust me,she's massive compared to me.And when i do actually have to use strenght to keep her by my side is when she sees birds cos she goes mental:):) I dont know how my sister trained daisy, but she is an amazing dog and causes me no trouble.Goodluck:)

  • can you train it to pull a wagon

  • I have a 5-6 year old purebreed. Is she too old for special training

I have only had her about a month and when i got her she did not know anything but being house broken. I've taught her not to jump, sit, and shake with each paw. I was told shes a good guard dog but I don't see any type of aggresiveness in her. Is she too old to learn special training like attack or search rescue, I know most dogs start at like 6 months. Notice i said she is 5-6 YEARS old. Thanks

  • @TennesseeVols86 Dogs are never to old to learn. german Shepards are eager to please, I think, so it`s fully possible.

  • @TennesseeVols86 No. Train her with positive reinforcement training. It works best.

  • Never too old to train. But training to attack is a bad idea for a family dog. Don't you worry, if you show that dog love and take good care of it, you will see a whole different dog if someone tries to harm you. I have two shephards 9yr old and 2yr old and they would lick you to death if you came by to visit, but God help you if you tried to lay a hand on me in any way. My 9 yr old gets pretty upset if someone even tries to shake my hand. Show them love and they will show you loyalty.

  • An awesome breed, i love German shepherds, and that's all i ever owned! If you want a dog that's protective, loyal, yet affectionate with it's family and gentle w/children, the German shepherd is for you! They do have a tendency to be territorial though and most of the ones i have owned do not accept other dog's coming in there space, so be careful, they are an extremely powerful and courageous dog that will hurt another dog extremely! That said, socialized properly, can be friendly w/other dogs

  • My German shepherd is NIGHTMARE omg she's only 4 months and she shows her teeth whenever I want to hold her neck she don't wanna take orders like sit or Down I tried biscuit n treats she won't even eat them so I try many things different type of treats like bacon for dogs she don't like them I kno it sounds crazy but is true so I try a prong collar and when I give her an order such as sit she won't listen sometimes I just wish I can take her back to the farm where I got her

  • @TiFFanYMonTaLvO20 My shep was a nightmare at that age, too. Find a good trainer is all I can suggest.

  • I just GOT ONE YAY!!!!!!!

  • nice video

  • Are females better than males for someone who is only experienced with small dogs?

  • @ARSA525 depends. females dislike other females. males dislike males. its a dominance issue. Both are equal really it's all in how you raise them. However If you want a german shepherd make sure you DONT get an american shepherd get one with pure german decent have breeder show proof. The american shepherds have tons of trouble.

  • @BlackDragonSociety91 I wish I was you! You are so lucky!

  • my german shepherd is terrified of water, whines constantly if your not giving her treats (shes healthy) and loves eating my guinea pigs poo...

  • Mine is like yours guardcorp, she don't like other dogs and if she sees one she's ready to attack. I don't let her near other people, and I keep her on a choke chain also. She is 100% loyal to me and my family though, and she knows I am her master but anyone else needs to stay away.

  • @mrj1113

I know what your saying. Its really beautiful to have something care for you that much, the bond between master and German shepherd is truly amazing. I know my dog will do anything for me that it possibly is able to, and I would do the same in return. Does your dog sleep in intervals? Mine only gets minutes of sleep at a time in order to stay vigilant, I feel really safe with him.

  • my german shepherds terrified of water

  • @lemonsx0 I haven't gotten mine in the pool yet but if on a boat im sure I could get her in the water

  • really? I've been trying to potty train mine for 3 weeks now but he still pees in the house. any help?

  • @lalo24681 It takes months for them to get it there basically like a kid if you don't take it out then it's going to go.

  • when they say the dog needs to be properly socialized, does that mean with other dogs? or just socialize with their family/owners ?

  • Hey Ive got a question out there for the people who KNOW a lot of about dogs and what there talking about. I've always loved dogs and im finally responsible to have a dog and ive been looking in to German, Belgian, Dutch Shepherds and Golden Retriever and im very satisfied with looks, training, history ect but Im also wondering what would be a wiser discison for a dog that likes to hunt, take long runs, be a house pet, ect. Its a hard discision on whether or not to get a G Shepherd or Golden.

  • umm i dnt know much about dogs but is it true tht to train a german shepard u hav 2 know german language?

  • @ChristopherSkates4ev

i hope you are not serious :P

if you are you are like one of the ten dumbest persons on this planet.

    ofcourse not!!!!!!

  • @thratu4ever dude im only 14 nd never had a dog...how am i supposed to know???

  • @ChristopherSkates4ev

    uhm comon sense.

im dutch and have a british breed cat.

im not gonna talk english to him.

i mean comon when i was 14 i wouldnt say something so dumb.

and i never owned a dog also.

where are you from usa right?

  • @ChristopherSkates4ev

    uhm comon sense.

im dutch and have a british breed cat.

im not gonna talk english to him.

i mean comon when i was 14 i wouldnt say something so dumb.

and i never owned a dog also.

where are you from usa right

  • @thratu4ever well sorry for asking okay. and yes im from the usa. well i do not want to debate over the internet so thank you for the answer

  • @thratu4ever comon sense??? :Future reference "Common"

  • @ItsFatSantaa

english is not my native language.

so to you it might be hilarious but i really dont give a shit when i make mistake's in a language not native to me.

    sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @ChristopherSkates4ev Nope. Besides the obvious point that dogs don't understand spoken human language. Dog's recognize sounds and gestures- it doesn't matter what language it is. Training dogs in a foreign is mostly for the (non)benefit of people. Cops do this so that the suspect wont know what the dog is about to do. If the cop's speaking in German or French and says "Attack" the suspect has no clue but the dog does.

  • Great video

  • I really want a shiloh shepherd, they're like larger healthier gsd's. Although I'm not going to get one until i have my own apartment and a job that allows me to take the dog with me. Both shilohs and gsd's are amazing dogs, but I don't think anyone under 20 should have one. A big dog like that is a GREAT deal of responsibility and parents are stupid if they buy their teenage kids one...

  • Haha, I saw this video in the related section and thought it said How to Train Your Dragon. XD

I want a German Shepherd so bad I can't see straight. They're such beautiful dogs.

  • i just got a german sheperd n shes 9 years old.she already knows how to sit, shake hands with her paw,n from what it looks like shes already potty trained.can i still teach her other things like to b sum what of a gard dog when theres a person comming to house but she wont bite??she also appears to b an active dog such as running n playing around..

  • I have owned German shepherds for years. They are incredibly easy to train, but they are not for everyone. By nature they are protective of their family and territory, and usually do not need to be trained to do so. I don't recommend training them as attack dogs unless you are a trained professional handler, and for most people their protective instinct is all that you will need to have your dog protect your house.

  • yeah im trying to convince my dad i can handle training one he thinks i should get sumthing smaller but im saying im a dude i dont want a tiny dog is it hard to train them

  • i have lived with 2 dogs and currently open a lab would a german shep ok to have if so my lab is a dog would it be a good idea to have a dog or a bitch or does it not matter if you can help or give me advice it would be verry helpful and appriciated

  • @crime2thecross I have owned a german shepherd and a labrador retriver for almost a year now. My labby was 1 when I got him... 6 months later I got a female 9 week old german shepherd puppy, I don't know if it's because she was bought in so young, but she adores my lab... she will seriously not go anywhere without him, the pair are inseperable and I've had no problems with them at all... my shep is a bit of a wuss though lol

Mine make a lovely duo :)

  • is it easy to train a GS not to poop inside the hose? and how do u train him? and how old can a GS be before it gets harder and harder to train them?

  • I got my GS 4 days ago, she is 9 weeks old and she already learned how to do her stuff in the training pads. Amazing. You need to follow a few steps and they learn really fast.

  • what do i do when my 8 month old german shepherd is visiously attacking me?? ( hes only playing with me but fuck he hurts )

  • @a69a59b i got too...i tink its just too active

  • by nightmare you mean the german sheppy is gonna eat your face of and then have your bones for dinner? or by nightmare you mean as in not going to do much as a dog should do?

  • He means the dog will be disobedient, run away from you until they get the exercise they need. German Shepherd needs exercise so if you are an active outdoors person you should be fine if you take your dog with you. If your families hardly ever do outside activities this is not the dog for you.

  • i run outside in the morning so its going to be great!, the name is bullet lol, 8weeks old

  • Heh, well I think he overstated.

the guy below is a moron, shepherds dont run away from you >.> if they love you they will stay by you until they die.

I think he was focusing on the socializing the dog. We did not do that to my dog and he is a fucking deadly killing machine. When you take him on walks he goes into predator mode and seriously wants to kill shit. You need a choke chain and a strong arm.

Did not show him around to other people or dogs so he is like a wolf.

  • when I got my dog he was about 3 months old and very playful. I keep him in the house and we stayed like in the back woods where neighbors were like 200 or more feet away. No he does not like other dogs at all, but loves kids...every time he sees little kids he wants to go run and play with them. one thing I noticed is he won't jump on them and like he does me like he knows they are delicate...very smart dog and all we taught him was not to use it in the house lol

  • @guardcorp

' Did not show him around to other people or dogs so he is like a wolf'

And I hope you don't see that as a good thing.

  • @gavroash

    There are benefits.

  • @guardcorp or until you die

  • You don't know much about dogs do you... I'm its family and alpha. Its other people that have to be worried.

  • @guardcorp lol,i just got 1 yesterday - its 5 wks. old and i dont want it to turn out like that so we try to be as nice as we can to it :P

  • @guardcorp Mine is 5months old and has been around alot of people and a few dogs so hopefully she is getting good socialization. Oh yeah one cat lol

  • @skateVA90

Just take him to dog parks every now and again, should be fine....Animals in your own household and people in your own household do not count because they are part of his pack.

  • @guardcorp yeah thanks she went to her first vet visit with me the other day and did amazing no barking she is actually excited to see new people her ears flop back I take her to the skate park with me so she is around a bunch of people which I think is helping. She is terrified of water tho I wish I could get her out of that stage I would like to see her swim sometime in like a lake.

  • @guardcorp gay

  • @thedog700

That or self aware of what I think unlike your clear projection, of your fears about homosexuality and being one subconsciously. Oh...That burns huh? Something I'm sure you are used to anyway, the burning I mean. You know, STD's and what not.

  • @guardcorp

you dogs needs help asap.. go get a trainer fat ass

  • @gavin802

lol Yeah you want me to bring a 10 year old dog to a trainer, and waste my money trying to change his behavior? Fuck off

  • @gavin802

you know you have some nerve telling me to go train my dog as if all dogs have to be little bitches. Its a fucking guard dog for christ sake. Brainless twat

  • @guardcorp Why do you want a dog that wants to kill everything? Wouldn't it be better to have a dog that will only go for another animal (or person) if you ask it to? Like, on command? I certainly wouldn't want an aggressive dog like that. If it slips its collar, snaps its leash, heck snaps its collar (mine has broken a choke chain before) then it's pretty much a walking lawsuit. What's good about that?

  • @mackicoA090211

Its a steel choke chain with spikes lined inside so that when he moves forward the spikes dig into his throat. Its also extremely difficult to take the chain off as its a tight fit. Steel leash.

He is my best friend, my guardian, obeys my command and while because I had him since I was young I did not know that he would turn out like this. I don't regret it because he has saved my life once.

I'm also not advertising people raise their dogs like this.

  • @guardcorp its called a prong collar

  • @guardcorp YOU DON'T NEED A COLLAR LIKE THAT. IT'S CRUEL,AND IT MAKES WALKING A GSD NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT CAUSING HIM MUCH PAIN. GET A ''GENTLE LEADER' HARNESS (AROUND $20). HE WONT BE ABLE TO PULL OR CAUSE A PROBLEM WITH THIS HARNESS. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WALK YOUR DOG WITH NO PAIN TO HIM OR YOU, AND HE WILL GET USED TO WALKING AS HE SHOULD AND YOU WILL BOTH ENJOY THE WALK.

  • @mackicoA090211

I take him on runs in the morning in areas moderately void of people, and then in the AM late night. I take the utmost precautions so that he does not harm others.

He is not capable of going to a trainer for various reasons, I don't think people should raise dogs like this, if anything, I posted here as a warning that if you do not socialize or train your dog early he might end up like mine, people should stop judging me as if they know everything. Life is not so simple.

  • @guardcorp Can you please guide me how old German Shepherd puppy I took to train it as a guard dog for night service?

  • @guardcorp I think you're the moron and a shitty owner. It's because of dumb asses like you that Shepherds get a bad rep and are labeled vicious.

  • Hey, my name is jasmine n I have a 2 yr old gs/rhodisan ridgback mix. He is full of energy but wen it comes to certain things he just won't listen. Maybe you can help me out??

  • I'm sure he is full of energy, so am I :) Rrr, lol jk.. Don't know why I said that.. was a bit wierd..

  • It was actually 489 euro but it equals to about 648.59 dollars us

  • I just purchased a gs pup 12weeks for about 500 euro and hes from a line of about 129 years his father is a rescue dog and works with the schutze polizei and is very obiedient can I expect the same out of his pup?

  • how much is 500 euro in dollars?

  • @ehs2006 but GSD began in 1899. How is it possible to be from a line of 129 years?

  • i think german shepherds are great dogs i have a 7 month gs, she has a lot of energy so i walk her and play with her. I dont know if its just me but it seems that gsd never run out of energy. i have learned a lot from watching these videos, my gs is well trained and gl to all of you people trying to train your dogs ;)

  • MestizaMamita.....Its difficult to work and to be a pet owner. The key is exercise. As far as your dogs health theres a lady on here..I have her favorited. I beleive her screename is TotalGermanShepherds, her name is Deb and she can probably give you a better idea of your dogs health. If you are concerned dont hesitate and take your pup to your vet. Could be parvo or something worse. Good Luck and let us know how things went (Check my vid to see my GSD)

  • ..But I'm worried I'm not spending enough time with her even though I know it's not possible to spend my whole day with her cuz I mean, that's life.. can someone offer VALUABLE advice please??

  • MestizaMamita

Take her for rides, walks, beaches, and special stuff.

  • Yea but she's only 2 months and they say she can't be out really walking around until 4 months when she's had most of her shots. ..what am I suppose 2 do with her in the meantime? ..She sleeps a whole lot. ..but is real mellow like not really active when I play with her or she plays with her toys.. ..I started getn worried that maybe somethings wrong with her?

  • @MestizaMamita i just got a german shepherd pup who is nearly 8 weeks old and he's pretty much the same u explained urs to be. the vet said that its normal for them to sleep a lot [which was a relief as it worried me also]. i manage to get him up and playing by rolling and bouncing a tennis ball around him until he tries to pounce on it, then i take it away and so on and so on. also one of those toys where u put the snack in side is also really good.

    wow this is long. gl.

  • Thank u for everything but now i'm even MORE worried & it's all bad bc she has distemper !! =( omg I knew it had to be something worse.. =/

  • :O oh no you're kidding :((( all the best with the treatment.

  • @MestizaMamita so hows your dog doing ????

  • Comment removed

  • Hey I got a 2 & a half month old gs and she's really shy and always wants to follow me. What should I be doing to help her know that I'm not abandoning her when I'm gone for a few hours every morning to school? ..She's already learned to go to sleep inside the dogrun in my house and to stay outside in her home when I'm gone without whining.

  • @jgrider234 Let me know, my dog is good. i'm only asking $150 and she is spayed w/ all her shots.

  • I dont like to class a dog as a pet, i think they are companions or friends in a way. Youve got to give them lots of love and attention and they will be you most loyal companion in the world, far more loyal than any human. Dogs such as the german shepard are also very protective of their owner and they will always defend you if they sense you are in a fight or flight situation. This is why i dont think dogs such be classed a a pet.

  • you want tips on manipulating your parents. fuck off kick

  • hi eric!

I hope you read my comment.. I have a belgian shepherd (groenandael) and I saw you haven't any video on that breed. Could please upload something related to the belgian shep? My dog maya is becoming over-protective on the street only with strange people, never with other animals (even cats, she love's them). I need to Know how to control her impulses, cause she is a somewhat nervous dog but extremely friendly with the people she knows.

thank you for all the teachings you give us. :)

  • ok go for it... good luck with your new dog, and just be prepared to pay at least $1000 in vet bills during the first months. Also, food costs are quite high. If you need any help, just email me.

  • @jgrider234 Well if you have a lot of dogs now, give them your attention now. You can get a GSD when your older. I have two dogs, and they both get a good amount of time with me. I can't imagine having more.

  • ive heard it helps to speek to a dog from whatever country they are originaly from is that true

  • yeah,my mom had a German Shepherd that she trained in German

  • you're awesome man!

  • I want to get a german shepherd when im older and living on my own, but im afraid i might not end up being a good owner. Im definately not a figure of Authority, and one of the things i've read about german shepherds is that they need to know that you're the leader, and if they dont it could be hard to train them, and might also make them unhappy. How are you suposed to show authority to them?

  • If you have to ask that question then you are nowhere near ready to own a german shepherd.

I would recomend reading these two books, they are absolutly FANTASTIC.

"be the pack leader" by Cesar Millan, and "The dog listener" by Jan Fennell.

    GOOD LUCK! :)

  • Cesar Millan is NOT a dog trainer.

  • Your dog sounds like a low energy dog, that's why she seems so calm and is so well behaved. but most german shepherds are high energy dog who will most definitely need a strong, calm and knowlegable leader.

  • Kai is nowhere near a calm dog, she's crazy, and just about as high energy as your average border collie. I don't show any sort of athority. A dog is a dog, not a wolf in dogs clothing. I don't need alpha rolls, she respects me because I set boundaries, and she respects them because something good comes out of respecting it. Dogs don't CARE who's "alpha" or not. Heirarchy oriented humans do. Dogs don't see people as leaders,

  • They see us as people who give them good things, and that's why they respect us. They FEAR us when we try to be dogs when we obviously aren't, because we might do something horridly wrong, and the dogs react in FEAR by submitting, or biting and resisting. A confidant dog who isn't dominated by an unconfidant human won't have behavior issues, and will even share the same food bowl as another dog. Yes, training is the key to having a well behaived dog, you train a dog not to jump on people

  • you TRAIN a dog to not bark at the door, you TRAIN a dog to not jump on guests, and you TRAIN a dog to listen to you. My dog see's me as a leader, if you want, because I have taught her what is ecceptable, and respects that. That's how we have such a nice relationship

  • Oh, pardon the spelling errors. I'm rather tired right now and don't feel like changing them

  • I know he's not a dog trainer, he's a dog behaviourist. The person i was replying to asked how to make sure she shows the correct type of authority to her dog, so I recomended a couple of books to her. At what point did I say that Cesar Millan is a dog trainer? And also, Of course you have to show authority!

  • Plus, training isn't the key to having a well behaved dog. It's fun and rewarding for both the dog and the owner but it doesn't mean the dog sees you as leader. the dog does the things you tell him to because he's learned that he'll get a treat if he does, not necesarily because he respects you.

  • You don't need to. I have a GSD, and I show no "athority" over her what so ever. They just need mental and physical stymulation EVERY DAY. They're working dogs(people forget that), and need something to do. With clicker training, you can easily teach your dog EVERYTHING faster, more solid, and waaaayyy more enjoyable to your dog.

  • I have a black German Shepherd and he is 1 year and 4 months. I want to train him to sit and go down at command and also to attack on command. Is it too late to do that and if not, what do you recommend to do?

  • nor mate its not too late ur ok :D

  • I also have a black German Shepherd who is also one year and four months. Your dog is still very young. It should be very easy to teach him things, especially sit and down as they are the basics and very easy. I'm still teaching my dogs new tricks all the time and she's making progress.

Can't remember how i taught my dog down but we taught her to sit by holding the food above her head to where she would have to sit to be able to see it. When he does it correctly, say "sit" and reward him.

  • ITS NEVER TO LATE TO TEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS!!!! always remember that, i came across a friend who hadn't taught his dog sit... its a chocolate Labrador 13 years old. i taught him sit and he is 13!!! human years old!! i recommend that you follow youtube videos, get yourself a clicker and youtube that too! you will make your was very fast! your dog is still quite young!!

  • my german shepherd keeps peeing in the house and argueing back and my parents are talking about geting rid of him how can we fix this problem??

they keep sticking his nose in pee and i dont think thats the right way 2 do it

  • Look up "crate training." Shepherds are the most trainable dog I've ever worked with.

  • You can fix that problem by taking him for walks early in the morning

  • no that is actually the worst thing to do if u stick his nose in the pee then u r telling him to keep going there. do not dicepline him if u are not there when he goes in the house, the dog will have no idea what u r talking about. every hour u r home talk him outside and wait for him to go when he does reward him(u may want to put a word when he des go like "go potty") keep this up and/or try other methods i prefer positive traing it makes the bond stonger :) i hope this helped

  • 1. Clean up the spot instantly with the dog around and complain towards him saying 'no no no' or else.

    2. If that doesn't work, clean up with a tissue and bring it to a place (garden, maybe) where he's allowed to pee and point to that place. Dogs attention provided.

    3. If that doesn't work, follow step 2 and pee yourselt on that spot. Dogs attention provided.

All methods might take several times of repetition. As soon as he does it right, commend him intensely.

  • Hello...Im looking into adopting a One year old Female..Is that still apuppy or an Adult?

We meet her this Sunday..Shes House trained,fixed...And the current owner says she would be good to have around a toddler..I have a 2 year old girl..Ive never had a dog, what should I look for to see if this is the pet for our family..I have a huge country back yard and plenty of time...But I also have Two indoor female 1 year old Cats...Will it eat my Cats?lol not joking i dont know?

  • 1.5years is adult but try adopting a puppy its best to have them from birth

  • Well 1year is very good, it will be about passing all the crazy moments :D starting to be sane ..

But before you get it be sure its friendly and try to get a medical record .. then all you need is feed give some love and much space to run :P, starting from 1.2 years to 1.5 (depends) dog start being an adult ready to have birth and so, i prefer getting an adult my self got a 4 year male and going to adopt a nearly same age female.

  • I have a shepherd mix and she's old now but she'd always played and ran with my and my bro when we were small. They're so great for kids and they really are obedient. Plus they're very cute and cuddly. ;)

  • Im gonna get a new german shepherd puppy in 4 months!

  • Which one would u get German shephed or Mastiff

  • I personally would always choose the german shepherd. I have owned 2. I currently own what is called a ddr german shepherd. This is by far the best dog Ive ever owned. I grew up raising great danes which are really similar to the mastiff. IMHO Mastiffs , great danes are awesome dogs, theyre just lazy ,hard to train and live very short lives 6-8 yrs. German Shepherds usually live for 12-14 yrs are easily trained and want to be with you wherever you go. Before you get a dog , do plenty of research
