Does anybody else remember the Beavis and Butthead commentary on this vid? XD I usually hated that show, but that one scene was funny. "ACK! She kissed a girl!" lol That was the 90s for ya, tho. These days, teenage boys on TV or IRL probably wouldn't have had that reaction.

It's ridiculous today to think that this song/video were banned back in 1995. But a LOT in the music industry was ridiculous back then. k.d. lang, Melissa Etheridge, and a ton of other talented women were forced to stay closeted, to appease bigoted male producers and recording execs. We're a whole lot better off today.

It's funny how this song was released and banned from several radio stations. Then 13 years later, Katy Perry makes a song with the same title and tops the Billboard Charts. Love or hate either version- at least it shows that people are becoming more accepting.

I actually prefer this version to the Katy Perry version. It was more whimsical and nice to me for some reason. I didn't even know of Katy Perry's version until recently. Video wise, I also prefer this. Katy's version is just too...dunno. This version actually seems more innocent.

Always loved the song, since it came out (even saw her in concert), but there is a better version of this video. Not a lot of changes, but it's a bit more touchy-feely. For the most part, more close-ups on faces with eyebrows lifting conspiratorially. Adds a nice new level to it.
