Lived in Bahrain from 1982 until 2000. Loved the place and have many good and happy memories. Often wonder what Spike, Brian, Lucian et al are doing and if they are still there. Wish I could go back as I don't recognise half the buildings in these videos. Spent most of my time in Henry's, Lute Bar (Diplomat), Warbler and Sherlock Holme's.

Thanks for posting this. I was there '86-'90 and while your pictures show how much Bahrain has changed, it also showed how much it has stayed the same...the same Bahrain that I remember and miss dearly. Senor Pacos, The Saddle, Sheikh Isa's private beach...such a great feeling when I think back.

Bahrain is amazing I was there from 2003-2005 too. Lived in Sea Star apartments across from the Dolphin Park! The shopping is great, The Warbler pub was great on Christmas day and spent new years at the Hawar Islands. I want to go back :(

You will like it. I left Bahrain in 1990 and 20 years later I still say that it was the biggest mistake of my life. Apart from being a beautiful country, the Bahrainis are very kind people and I was always welcomed with open arms. I still consider it as my 2nd home country.

There are some FAMOUS clubs over there where u can definitely meet girls :P Its the best country, everything u need, food, girls, clubs, beaches, malls, shopping, cinemas. And the best thing about that, everything is close to you, its a small island. HOT in summer, cool in winter :P, hehe. Your gonna have fun, no doubt about that.
