  • Braulio is a beast. Just got done with one of his seminars and he is a great teacher. clean instructions and great moves. Im definitely using this one later on! ;)

  • Just to calm down the boys here, I have been using this technique with success. If you drill it you are going to have a chance to use it,

  • I'm going to remeber this set up as "THE FLU" 'cuz it's sick!!!

  • pra q faze em ingles se é portugues????

  • Coming from a Braulio Estima seminar today I have to say: "HOLY SH**! I never thought that would work but believe me when I say that Braulio has a style of fighting that looks very weird but is effective as hell. He just won the world championships in california for god sakes! :)

  • lmao

  • yeah sure it doesn't work...he's a world and european champion man!

  • I'm not disputing his credentials man. Watch any serious bjj tourney. Hardly any acrobatics there. Anyway, if you train for a couple of years you just know what works or not. Respect.

  • um i have been training for over 6 years and have competed in the europeans, ny open and pan ams...

  • @bostonalext Prove it?

  • @phate1313 exactly everyone knows that maybe a white vs white belt in tourney can do this.. but at 1:01 or the second step you will easily get passed to side control and then its 3 points to the other guy

  • @bostonalext I am red belt at tarpeins in Moline illinois a carlson gracie affiliated school. spencer fisher comes to our camp invites all the time and we go roll at the gracie academie in chicago alot. but its ok I deal with you people all the time "keyboard warriors with no experience besides what they learned on the computer".....

  • @bostonalext We dont run a traditional belt system so no red belt is not the highest rank.... it is right before a blue belt and right after yellow belt in our system. and in bjj you dont have 6x brown belt it is just brown belt.. you would know that if you were in bjj and not taekwondo... go learn something you white belt

  • @bostonalext from brown belt to BLACK BELT 3 years im currently a brown belt.... not from white to black in 3 years. didnt know carlson gracie was a mcdojo

  • Comment removed

  • @bostonalext What are you talking about 2 years per belt rank is not a mc dojo. ive been trainin for 8 years it will takes another 2-3 for my blackbelt. 11 years for a black belt. is not a mcdojo. ive been training for 8 years and im a brown belt. in 3 years from brown i will be a black belt. you are fucking retarded and obviously dont know belt reanks are something. brown is 1 rank from black. so 3 years for 1 rank. not sure why you cant process this... you must of been hit with a cynder block

  • @bostonalext I can post vids of me competing at naga chicago and me advancing in my belt rank and recieving certificaters. you prove your a brown belt and then you will have earned some respect ive already had to post vids for other people....

  • @bostonalext What i can prove my stuff hell i can give u my name and you can type me in google for my naga standings for christ sake. i mean i know you have no bjj experience besides on youtube because anyone with bjj doesnt act like this and they have alot of respect. you sound like a white belt at best because you went to a few classes have 12 hours in and think you can be the world champ.

  • @bostonalext Nick Tarpein is a carlson gracie black belt and his belt system is different... Red belt is equivalent to a brown belt in his system. becaus ehe runs a karate-taekwondo belt system so we can run 1 belt system instead of 4 one for every martial art. Yeah you googled my dojo which is affiliated with carlson gracie team maybe you should of done more research.

  • @bostonalext Maybe you should try stepping into a dojo and rolling with people who have experience instead of just you watching submissions 101. how is it a mcdojo if im not a black belt and ive been there for 8 years. MCDOJO MEANS THEY PROMOTE TO FAST YOU KNOW MCDONALDS FAST FOOD MCDOJO FAST BELT PROMOTION... Well i was a white belt for 2 years which is what he requires before being promoted. that is going 4 times a week. fuck you ass hole.

  • @bostonalext I never talked shit about Braulio? He is a great grappler. But this guard is easily passed.. That is why he never uses it. He uses a traditional gracie guard in the world championships..... Against the best this guard is innefective... thats all i was saying god your such a fucking douchebag no wonder you fat with no friends and you mom killed herself you fucking douchebag i hope you slit your throat

  • @seigemma4 Against the best any guard is innefective...

  • @dinhocali I would respectfully disagree . . . with a standup rule this is true, but for self-defense, the guard works very well IMHO.

  • @dinhocali And who are "The best" i wonder?

  • I use this guard in competition a t the blue belt level and in rolling all the time. There are ways to handle getting passed. I actually invite the pass sometimes because there is a sweep that you can perform once your opponent moves around towards side control that is easier on bigger guys than the regular leg hook sweep that I use on most people. Just like everything else this guard is situational and won't work 100% of the time, but there are a lot of options and it's a strong guard.

  • that doesn't mean he couldn't have an ineffective technique on an instructional.

  • I have to completely disagree. This move works as one of several options from that position. If used in conjunction with any of several sweep opportunities from here, the omo becomes a serious threat. Like most techniques in BJJ, you aren't going to just scoot in and hit this - it needs to be set up.

    This move works.

  • I wonder there are more moves that can be set up off of that guard, like maybe some sweeps.

  • It's called Spider guard....or at least a variation of it. look it up

  • That technique looks too fun to pass up 5 stars

  • has braulio ever used this in comp im a bit sceptical gret technique however

  • i don't know if braulio has but i've seen this technique used many times

  • Braulio is King

  • This is just a fun move to do!

  • Que saudades da Gracie Barra.

  • Parabéns pelo seu sucesso!

    In English.

  • very beautiful technique. thanx carcara. you re the most stylistic grappler

  • boa tecnica.valeu brother!

  • Cool!!!Thanx Carcará!!!
