I got this game on the PC not too long after it came out. I was about...really little. So, I was no match for the came. Now, it's 2011, I have the soundtrack on my iPod, and I'm still hopelessly stuck. (However, I did recently figure out Lily Islands, and I'm making progress...)
this may sound wierd but this reminds me of a cloudy rainy or cloudy snowy day and i'm at my grandparents house playing this under the white light in their office on my grandfathers lap and I was a chapmpion
1:05 How come I never thought of SuperHopping over the bulldogs? >_> Anyway, I agree, for the PS1, this is a beautifully made game. Such great music, challenging gameplay, and simple controls. Everything a gamer could want!
frustrating? yes it was frustrating.... :( trying the same level about 100 times failing the same level about 100 times... i hated this game and loved it aswell :D
I had this same problem! I still have the PC CD-ROMs for Frogger and Frogger 2. But the music doesn't work on Windows Vista for Frogger. I don't know about Frogger 2, though. Anyway, I fixed this by using a PS1 ROM for this game. Plus, I got another PS1 yesterday, and ordered Frogger online along with a memory card and some color-coded AV cables. :D Ah, the memories... they'll return soon, next week!
This brings back so many frustrating memories of playing this title on the PS as a kid... It demanded absolute perfection when playing and some of the later levels were just cruel... still, I have positive memories despite the inhumane difficulty.
Oh my god I LOVED this game, played it thgough, unlocked all the golden frogs...
It's one of the only games that still woks on VISTA with no problems, although I can't get the music to work.. any idea why? I love the music so that's a problem. Can I download the music anywhere?
I ran into the same problem (music not working), maybe it's an XP/Vista bug. It worked on older machines and older OS's just fine. That's why I went ahead and bought the PSX version.
You can rip the music from the PC CD (or the PSX one for that matter) using Windows Media Player.
@atrocity3010 Well I bet you don't care anymore now that its been two years, but i'm working on getting the audio to work. I confirmed on an older machine the sound plays through the cd audio 4 pin port that should be connected to the motherboard or sound card, which doesnt exist on sata drives. For some reason I still cant get it to play on a newer computer though

@Neryams There's a patch on the Internet, but the music will only play once in a level with it, it's not very good. Only solution is to use a Win95/98 Machine to plaay this game with music
You guys know what's weird? There's this track called "Jungle Jumble" on a Frogger music list on a website I can't remember the name of, but I completely don't recall hearing it in the game.
OMG! I remember when I used to play this game back when I was like 12 and I played it like everyday until I finished it. I ♥ Frogger! It's amazing. But it's evil and doesn't work on Windows XP for me. I still have the CD and the soundtrack rocks! Awesome vid.!
I would definitely recommend it. It's an near-exact port of the PC version, the only differences being decreased times for the levels and a different sound for when you get a power-up/extra life (I preferred the PC sound, but it's no big deal).
Wow, I got teary-eyed. Never felt this much nostalgia.

I don't think it's the operating system that's the issue. I have Vista, and the game and music both play fine for me. :/

atrocity3010 4 years ago
atrocity, you forgot 4 things.
Instead of showing the word Frogger on a CD like it does on the PC, when you enter or exit a level, it does a beating sound on the PSX.
On the PC version, the music starts about 1 second after you enter the level. On the PSX version, the music starts immediately.
On the PC version, the sound when the stones are coming up in Tropical Trouble is different than the PSX version.
Frogger's PC croak has a higher pitch than his PSX croak.
karmew32 4 years ago
when you get the yellow frog, the music's different too.
thechocobro 4 years ago
I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this. It has great timing, on both songs! Excellent work!
Where did you find the music for the end credits?
thechocobro 4 years ago
I ripped the audio from the ending video that I did.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked the vid.
atrocity3010 4 years ago
If you still have the PC Frogger game, try putting it in a CD player. it should be on there.
thechocobro 4 years ago
Some of those segments took a lot of tries to get right (especially Reservoir Frogs and Uncanny Crusher), so in fact they were still quite difficult.
I just ripped the Frogger music off the CD using Windows Media Player.
atrocity3010 4 years ago
Will you ever do the multiplayer levels?
karmew32 4 years ago
No, I can't access them because ePSXe is screwy.
Besides, I don't see you posting any Frogger videos. Did you even like this video? It took a lot of work to do.
atrocity3010 4 years ago
I loved it!

Oh, ok. Sorry for that, I was in a bit of a bad mood earlier.
