  • I watched...struggled to watch this BS! "My mother lost half her kids and it taught her about life" WTF!! China came do replace a backward society that would allow you to lose half your kids maam.

"There were hundreds of hungry people outside my door and mom would cry and always give them something out of our kitchen" WTF! China WAS feeding people, educating people, and putting them to work. Your backwards, "Tibetan" society is what left so many people to suffer. GO progress! GO CHINA!!!

  • Interesting Jungian insights, too.

  • Very nice film. Thank you for this.

You are looking at my pesher.

    .

my rant is...Feminism is the real end of the story.

...i ask You..if Females were running the world..would it be in the mess it is now.

i dont have to answer You.....Accept You Sacred Feminine(Intuition).

  • You've got me there, Zambuuucha! I just can't remember that part. Looks like i'll have to go to [MYHD-MOVIE]dottinfo and watch it again!

  • The way that storytellers and myth experts examine the very real life of Dekyi Tsering makes the mythical strength of the woman show through on film. It's real sweet to see H.H. show such reverence for his mama.

  • Superb filmmaking and storytelling.

  • I think it would be great to do a series on the mother's of all the great world leaders and religious figures, because this movie made me see that the Dalai Lama got some of his character from his mom even though he was separated from her care so young.

  • We will not have peace on earth until the Mother is recognized and given her due respect! I agree with this film that there is violence because the mother is absent from the world right now.

  • FREE TIBET!

  • What stuck with me most from this beautiful film was the discussions of the mother archetype - how the Great Mother is an invisible, consistent, dependable force that is in our being and shaping us whether we know it or like it or not. I thought the movie was just going to be about the Dalai Lama's mother (which would have been enough!), but it was about so much more.

  • A monk that I am friends with was quietly protesting a few weeks ago in Kham and got picked up by Chinese authorities. N one knows where he is. I think it is only going to get worse.

  • The Dalai Lama's Mama!! I knew nothing about it, thanks.

  • Me and my mom watched this together and it actually improved our strained relationship, THANK YOU!

  • This film is beautiful, and no matter what your feelings on China and Tibet if you have a mother or are a mother you will get something out of it. I didn't know anything about the Dalai Lama's mother before seeing this - it's truly an amazing story!

  • you know i was really hurt because i had a baby on the 16th and i wasnt sure how to be a great mom. and how can i be one and to make all the past go away. some of them was not shown on the moive but it gave me an idea and for that i lost of words just then. but thank you

  • The Chinese are dishonest and hypocritical in their handling of the Tibetan people. We must see the Chinese for what they are, and hope all Tibetans are able to be independent and healthy as soon as possible. The Chinese need to clean up their own country and let Tibet rule itself.

  • BEAUTIFUL

    THANK YOU
