  • Aww I love how they respond to your whistle :) If the mother doesn't come back for a long time do you feed them :)

  • @LBP2Fangirl awww yeah I thought their reaction was cool too, poor little guys, must be very hungry. Hope Moma came back in a timely manner ^^. Glad to know your looking out for them though.

  • ownnnn They're so cuuute :) !

  • cutest video ever, yeah but dont make them tired though:))

  • OMG BABY BIRDIE BALL!!!

  • aw that was cute when you started to whistle & they all lifted up their heads and open their mouths! hehe I wish I could show my children live birds like that

  • CUTE.INGNORE HATERS.

  • WTF!

  • Altricial hatchlings are so infinitely adorable! But I hope people don't do this sort of thing too often, all the begging they have to do exhausts them and they may die or not grow enough...

  • Few things are cuter than baby birds! ^_^

  • aw they are hungry and when they put there heads up, its too heavy for their body so they fall. aww so cutee

  • yea realy cute are they wild birds?

  • You're mean teasing them by whistling. I've got a nest only 18 inches off the ground in my garden and the three chicks(from 5 eggs)are 9 days old now. I must admit I make noises to get them to open their beaks too, they are so pretty now that they no longer look like gargoyles and I've been digging up worms and passing them to the mother whilst she sits on the nest for a bit of extra help as her partner is a bit lazy and it's been so hot that the ground is rock hard and difficult to forrage in.

  • @sleepypoodle how is that mean? calm down

  • @brianKRAZY1 Because they are so vulnerable and easily disturbed or frightened by unfamiliar sounds, it's pretty obvious when you think about it. A whistle to human ears is no big deal but think about it from a newly hatched robin's perspective.

My cat used to physically try and stop me from whisting when I was a child because it hurt him so much, he'd literally come running from a few gardens away (which was quite useful when we needed to find him in a hurry).

  • @sleepypoodle The whistle and trill of a robin is a hell of a lot higher pitched than a human being's whistle.

  • wowow sooo cute! did the mom leave them?

  • xD so cute. they're heads are too heavy for their bodies. haha

  • cute!
