@Cheezpuf88 some people haven't been playing as long... my 7th and 8th grade orchestra are playing so we got music.. plus, perhaps there teacher wanted to take it slower but i agree it is pretty slow. Lastly if you have a word that begins with vowel you should put an.. not "a" before the word if necessary aha i always catch grammatical errors.
this is such a crazy loud and insane song, your taking this way to slow making it sound less like an adventure and more like your watching an adventure on tv. speed up guys!
i'm in 7th grade and i play this song. its pretty good that my class and the 8th graders can play it being it is a high school peice. and i play 1st violin. but this is good.
HOLY CRAP THIS IS FAST!!!! We don't practice this piece that fast in my orchestra class!! But I finally get to hear what the piece actually sounds like. Very well played.
It's actually pretty warm out here right now - it's around 15 today, which sounds cold but compared to how it has been, it's not bad. It's easier to deal with out here too; very dry cold. I played bass clarinet, so I very rarely was actually doing anything in Symphorc - you can ask Morse, haha!!
Nikki is at home with my mom...I usually fly in once a month or so to keep working with her.
haha, I'm actually a senior at lakeland high school. We're doing this song for our spring concert. We also have some beastly musicians ( I'm actually going to school on a scholarship for the pipe organ. but you won't hear about me, lol)
Our orchestra is pretty good and we have a beastly band, but our timpanist is CRAP. Yours is a lot better than ours.
@jellyxxxx well jelly, do you play a string instrument? If not, allow me to explain.... More 'advanced' string instruments shift for the open strings. (ya, that's right, its not just the cellos that shift on open strings) Open strings tend to ring, it just sounds better to shift for open strings, plus, it gives a chance to vibrato, and make the piece sound, and look, that much cooler/ harder. I play the cello and im playing this song on Tuesday for JHFO (Junior Honors Festival Orchestra) ^.^
Its alright...intonation is off on many of the higher notes and the tempo is very slow...dragging and dragging. My high school performed this piece much better.
im in 6th grade and i played this piece in my gt orchestra.
1. you are playing it waaaay tooo slow.
2. shifting, as geoskull was trying to say, should not be MESSY! if you shift messily you arent a "advanced player"
3. honestly, this piece is easy. and i mean 1st violin part really fast is easy.
