  • Definetly a wall cloud. I noticed the right side of the wall cloud moving some towards the right. And when ever your camcorder went to the left I noticed some brightness in the sky, especially at the 1:11 spot in the video. You most likely were facing in a westerly direction when filming the storm. Being that you're up north and it was June, you may have been facing to the Northwest.

  • nice shelf cloud

  • Your voice is cute.

  • Its a shelf cloud my friend...neat video....

  • That's a scary cloud!

  • Awesome footage!

  • Thanks

  • Could you please tell me the approximate location of the camera in this video and the direction it is facing ... the nearest major cross streets intersection. I am plotting all of the YouTube sightings on a Google map at ArlingtoncardsDOTcomSLASHweatherblog Thanks!

  • I'm not sure of the direction, but I think I was facing east. The closest major street is W. Exchange in Crete, IL. I hoped I help.

  • i live in will county!!

  • me too lol

  • sometimes a wall cloud is not a tornado.... but this looks to me more like a shelf cloud...

  • Definitely a wall cloud. You can see the somewhat straited meso above it. There could have been a tornado but the ground level view was blocked by trees. That is some amazing structure shots tho, nice work!

  • Thank you. I love your videos to, I wish I could one day actually catch a real tornado. :)

  • haha anyimte, but not lying!!!!! :P..did it do damage to ur house?

  • Nope, it didn't do anything to my house.

  • nice video. f'n stupid people.

  • tornado or not srill looks kind of scary

  • Well, I think I know that by now...lol. Alot of people already told me. I'm not a expert, so that's why I put a tornado or a wall cloud because I was unsure.

  • LMAO best TORNADO video ever. hahaha you guys are fuckin hilarious

  • hahah i hope my house is ok. lol

  • thats nasty looking!

  • I didn't think people actually spoke like that.

  • True, but there were reports of tornadoes and damage out here. Ranging from EF0-EF2. This is rare out here. Even a wall cloud is rare. :)

  • That was a wall cloud! but it dos'nt al ways mean that there is a tornado. It just means there is rotation (rotating updraft)in the thunder storm. that's a supercell

  • Awesome straw....girl those storm chasers are gonna sign you up if you keep making vids like this!

  • lol, I doubt it but thanks. :)

Glad you all stayed safe. Thanks, GREAT wall cloud, 58 Tornado reports from this day!!

  • Lol, thank you.:) Yes, this was one crazy day.

  • follow the grayness? wtf, the whole freaking sky is grey! cool video though, that was definately a tornadic storm!

  • I believe that's a shelf cloud, actually, which is why it was moving so quickly. Wall clouds are quite a bit smaller. Still, impressive video.

  • Thank you, I wasn't to sure what it was. I'm new to this.

  • That's ok, you still got some great video out of it. Thanks for posting it. :)
