what you fail to see is that Pikachu's is the only one that can kill at a lower percent than fox's. Fox needs about 100% when Pika only needs about 80-90%.

everyone i knew practiced and tried to implement any AT that seemed helpful as soon as possible to get even a tiny advantage over the rest of us. we actually cared somewhat about being good at smash. i remember those days fondly.

Then I, too agree with TripleMadHaxYo in that you were lucky to have those people to smash with. You guys were probably very far above average, at least in tech skill - there was very little wavedashing even in TG videos.

Even if Punch Crew wasn't that far above average, though, they'll always sort of be on a pedestal because they're an integral part of "smash history". They were the only videos most smashers saw for years (next to Nismojoe and AoB and some others, but they weren't as iconic).

Real players don't use items anymore though. It adds a random factor. Imagine your friend having a bat spawn next to him when the match starts.
