Didn't think it was that bad at all. I always though holocaust was just a word for destruction etc (which it is, I've checked). Referring to "The Holocaust" obviously means the genocide of the Jews in the 30's and 40's. These days I suppose the word carries a reverence that has to be respected. I mean he could have said "He's having a worse time than the Jews did in Nazi Germany...." now that would be offensive!
