  • You need an interior tank decorator

  • People listen carefully. An animal need to be in a habitat that closely resemble its natural environment. How many lake or rivers have you seen with glass bottoms? Your turtle will survive without rocks and decoration but it is going to be miserable. I have owned dozens of Herps. Worked as a reptile specialist for years in pet stores. I know what I'm talking about. Also the rocks and stuff will host colonies of helpful bacteria which is necessary. for overall system health.

    Do some research.

  • @ELLA1683 FUCKING BITCH POOR TURTLES :(

  • Awesome setup what kind of paint turtle is that?

  • @ELLA1683 Lol, I don't care what you are

  • @sabrinaandremi YOU DONT NEED ROCKS OR SAND

  • @ELLA1683 yeah but think about it those extra things would probably make him feel more at home and safe if he can hide behind something instead of being so exposed?

  • The main thing that shows a tank and that makes a turtle happy is an enviroment... You gotta have some rocks on the bottom and a shelter

  • @TheLevitzkinator LIKE I SAID IN THE DESCRIPTION.... THIS IS A VERY OLD VIDEO AND IF YOU DO RESEARCH YOU DO NOT NEED ROCKS OR SAND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK. THEY ACTUALLY SAY NOT TO PUT ROCKS OR SAND B/C IT DOESN'T ALLOW FOR PROPER FILTRATION OF THE WATER. THEY DO HAVE A SHELTER IN THE TANK AT THIS POINT.

  • theres no way thats a 110 gall it looks too small

  • uhmmmm yeah, it definately is 110 gallons. watch my other videos and you will see. this tank is huge

  • there the same as mine :)

  • what do you think is a good or the best filter? im looking for an external one for having out of my 7 foot tank.. or what would be ideal for that as its 213 gallons?

  • @JmeJian90 fluval xp5

  • looks empty

  • what kind of turtles do you have and nice setup

  • thanks, they are painted turtles. that setup is really old, it is much better now. check out my new videos = )

  • ohh okay

  • Eastern Painted? I had southern painteds but I had to sell them because my older turtles kept nibbling on them! :(

  • yup, eastern painted turtles. they rock!

  • i wanna get a albino red ear slider and a normal red ear slider

  • i have 2 red ear sliders one is slingshot 1 michealangelo

  • I have an albino RES. Get Hypo RES WAAY BETTER. Also most albino's have poor eyesight and require feeding in dim lighting so the other turtles don't eat the food before they do. Map turtles make better aquarium turtles so do musk turtles.

  • is a 20 gallon long for 1 african sideneck turtle?

  • Comment removed

  • Lol i think this is more than adequet for them XD

  • nah 40 to 55 is alright for one

  • what kind of turtles are those?

  • eastern painteds

  • i will buy it for $1,000,000

  • thats 110 galons? (looks smaller)

  • it does look smaller

  • It appears that you need to add some sort of a dry dock for them to climb up on and get out of the water...I bet they get tired of swimming..My turtle is not used to so much water. I have to teach him to swim. The previous owner didn't have much water in the aquarium for him..just enough to cover him...so he stays on the bottom and is a sink cork..so I am going to add water and teach him to swim..

  • That is an old video, but I had 2 docks for them to climb onto in this video. I have about 4 of them now, so they have plenty of space to bask.

Thats weird that your turtle doesn't swim. I've always heard the more water the better. Check on google, see what people are saying.

  • Cute my turtle is on his rock thing too i have the same one mine loves it

  • that dosent look like 110 gallons...

  • it is

  • were did u get the tank? and can i get the dimensions please? i sorta need a new tank...

  • I found my tank on craigs list, it is about 4 feet long and 2 1/2 feet tall. It is huge and a pain in the ass to clean!! I would recommend getting a 75 gallon tank. I would love to sell mine and get something a little smaller.

  • but i mean how do u clean it? (yeah might get somethng like 75 or 125 max)

  • Its because the turtle are very large!

  • i give a million thumbs up to this setup! this is the only good way to house two turtles together! a lot of room, no cramped spaces. IT IS VERY SPACIOUS!

good job!! this is a very adaquit setup!

in addition to the tank, you should have a basking area, heater, and a filter (all of the right sizes) I am not saying you dont i am just telling other people! =)

thanks for taking care of your turtles!

  • get some river rocks or something to spice it up a bit...other than that looks good.

  • Turtles pass the time digging in it also

  • no that'll mkae it much harder for him to clean the tank. what he needs to get is a basking spot.

  • 0:10 is a basking spot

  • nice tank you got there! =]

  • WHY YOU PAINT ON DEM? (Joking) Lol i caught a common snapping turtle (baby one)

  • wat kind of painted turtles

  • eastern painted turtles I believe

  • look more like southern

  • they are definately eastern......

  • ya i watched it again and realized

  • wat kind of turtles
