I also do know something about playing the guitar and could probably play this, but that doesn't make it bad. For example, I am also able to play "cliffs of dover" by eric johnson, it's not particularly hard, but only an absolute idiot would deny that it is a fantastic display of guitar/songwriting skills. @chrissidiras i think it gets better at 1:45. I am of the opinion that guitarists don't slide around the fretboard, use vibrato or bend enough. Sometimes letting a note ring out is nice breathing room. I think it adds a unique sound. I feel a lot of guitarists like going crazy on the scales they learned by shredding arpeggio's and scales sweeping up and down. Too me its too repetitive. That's why I love Satriani and Vai types, and hate Malmsteen's. They just bore the shit out of me..
