Mccain wants to continue on with the Bush economic policies which caused the need for a bailout... he wants to give tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. That doesn't work, there is no trickle down effect. When you give tax cuts to the rich, they do not re-distribute their wealth, in fact the get greedier and ship jobs overseas so they can pay Indians and the Chinese less money for the same work and they don't have to provide health-care or deal with American standards of employment. Clinton ruin the economy. He promise lower taxes if elected. He raised the taxes up. Bush had to undo everything that Clinton had done wrong, in the process had the economy go bad. But, also the democrats had control of the house for the last 2 years. That is about the same time the economy started to take a major dip.
