i just found this video as a battered man looking for some kind of answer to deal with the anger and hurt almost 3 years after my ordeal & clicked on it when I saw battered men in the title- typically though it turned out to be a video which perpetuated the myth that only men are abusers & only women are victims. Any wonder that one of the leading causes of male deaths in the western world is suicide.
I know several people affected by this kind of relationship, both female and MALE, it is not JUST females who are affected.
I find too though that most are SCARED to "breakaway". and those affected are often promised love (which has been sadly lacking in their lives from birth) so long as they "OBEY". They constantly try to OBEY, to gain that love they crave/need. They often too believe they DESERVE to be badly treated, and that THEY are the bad ones.

I thank you very much. Years ago, when I wrote this poem, it for a woman who was in troubled marriage, and it helped her. I didn't realize at first when I recently made this video for the purpose to help promote my upcoming Apollo Trilogy Novels that this poem could be used to help many woman in need of breaking away. I just wish there was a way for more woman to watch this video. Thanks...
Fantastic poetry of an unbelievable subject that is out there mostly done to women, but then it can be reversed and happen to men. If someone hurts you injuring your mind and body....it's time to leave that person and find help anywhere you can.
I would sure feel wonderful knowing if this poem video could reach out to someone in need, and help them make a commitment to breakaway. I wish I had extra money to advertise this video, thus allowing more people from around the world to view it.

I totally agree with you...
A mind set of powering domination within the a male or female is the key factor...
I originally wrote the poem for a troubled woman, and it helped her to breakaway.
I thank you for your comments...
Maybe this video will help some troubled people to breakaway.
