I'm thinking about buying a fender strat but im never home cause of sports so i think im gonna buy this guitar and a mini vox amp. all in all i would save 100 bucks if i buy the travel guitar..

you don't even need an amp for this puppy. it has distortion and clean preamp settings built in and you can just use headphones

Excellent little guitar. However I must make some adjustment. First I removed the "made in China" sticker, minor. Second I will lower the action a bit. Too high for me. If your a player like me and center fast trem picking, the tune pegs conflict. Easy to bump with fingers and throw a string out slightly.

Overall a wonderful and unique guitar. The best small travel guitar ever made!

This is a great guitar. I have a Martin D18GE acoustic and a Gibson Chet Atkins electric. But I play this Escape EG everyday. It sounds perfect and is easy to play. With the headphones you can play anywhere and not disturb anyone. Best thing I've bought in a long time.

Hiya. Do you know if it would be possible to change the pickups to bare knuckle humbuckers in this?

Also, I am looking for a portable electric mainly for metal. Is this better than the speedster in your opinion?

I think this guitar is better than the speedster for metal, at least if ur talking for being able to play anywhere, because this one has the built-in headphone amp. beyond that, i think you'd have to play them to make a decision
