There is a good point that can be made here. While trust is an important part of a relationship, that trust also includes trusting someone you love only to keep secrets from you that are harmful to your relationship but not so major that you would break up with them. Also, Diaries are a way of venting anger sometimes and allowing the emotional stress to slip away without causing verbal harm. Invasion of someone's privacy is basically a lack of trust and can only end badly.

this sound like the symptoms of an abusive relationship. it doesn't matter how his famaly behaves. the fact that she feels betrayed by him reading the diary should be enough for him to apologize. and he would try to see it from the girls perspective if he really cared about the relationship. this is sick behavior.no question just RUN!!!!
