"Kid" Yamamoto is a great fighter. Fantastic hands, wrestling and submissions. It remains to be seen. How he will do in the UFC. Against the American D1 wrestlers.

Kid is the hardest hitting fighter pound for pound in the world. He would beat down torres, faber, and penn..... He wrestles at St Pierres level. He fights at 135 , but most of his fights are at 145 or 155 so he has someone to fight. Kid fought a kick boxing legend that outweighed him by 50 lb's, in kick boxing rules!!..... Kid got ko'd, but not before he knocked the guy down and smacked him around a bit. As for mma.... one loss.... Technical... like Fedors only loss.

if you talking about the fact that he still hits people after the fight then YES U can hear people even with adrenaline, u might not hear your coach or someone outside the ring but u hear the ref. Kid actually pushes the ref to get more punches in. u are not taking consideration that in the Tyson Griffin fight, Faber cut his head open on an exposed portion of the steel cage corner. Because of this he bleed profusely from his head. Tyson also out weighs urijah by about 40 lbs before he cuts weight.

There are so many good fighters out there why doesn't he fight anybody good? Could it be that he's so used to his superstar status that he doesn't want to screw that up along with the cash that goes with it? He fights third and fourth rate fighters day in and day out. It's not hard for a talented fighter to look good against chumps and taylor made opponents. If I was a kid fan, I'd get bored. Eventually he needs to fight opponents with actual skill and power to validate his career.

Kid has a contract in the new Pride FC.. DREAM. He also has one of the greatest records in all of MMA from fighting in Shooto, K-1 Heros and what not.
The thing that makes your idea obsolete is that UFC does not have a featherweight class, as Kid is an FW. However, he has fought in lightweight, way above his own size, and has been knocking out some strong world class competitors still.

if you talking about the fact that he still hits people after the fight then YES U can hear people even with adrenaline, u might not hear your coach or someone outside the ring but u hear the ref. Kid actually pushes the ref to get more punches in. Not saying that he should or shouldn't cuz its a fight.; U should expect some crazy dood try and kill u(, but Im just saying that your wrong about him being deaf cuz of adrenaline. If he didn't hear then he would of apologized.

I agree the Caol Uno is a superb fighter and Genki Sudo is good. But, Royler Gracie is a 3rd tier fighter at best. Praises doesn't mean much when you lack talent. Btw, Uno lost to Norifumi by way of a cut, so I don't think it's a definitive win.

u are not taking consideration that in the Tyson Griffin fight, Faber cut his head open on an exposed portion of the steel cage corner. Because of this he bleed profusely from his head. Tyson also out weighs urijah by about 40 lbs before he cuts weight.
Urijah vs. kid would be an excellent fight, please respect both fighters.

uh i think you're forgetting jens pulver. Btw, Faber fought Tyson back in 2005. Faber is not the same fighter now. Tyson is a world class fighter with significant size advantage. Lossing to a fighter like that does not take anything away from you. And also, I only listed his wins you're the one that assumed he was great. I guess the facts speaks for themself.

Well, if memory serves me right everyone(90% of mma fans) considers Jens washed up. Plus, Faber didn't even finish him. So not finishing a "washed up" fighter proves nothing to me.
Yamamoto beat Royler Gracie, Caol Uno, and Genki Sudo. All of which arent featherweights, so size means shit to me.
Plus, I never considered Faber great. You put up his record like he is the shit while you downplay Yamamoto.

Records speak for themselves. I'm tired of seeing Yamamoto pulverize weak opponents. Time to step up. He's beaten good Japanese fighters but has not fought any good non japanese fighter since Jeff Curan. Oh btw, Royler Gracie is 5-4, he doesn't even count as a decent fighter. Oh, and Pulver is only 34 he's in the tail end of his career but hardly washed up. In the last two years he's only lost to BJ Penn and Joe Luzon both which are spectacular fighters. I have to commend your eloquence though.

There are so many good fighters out there why doesn't he fight anybody good? Could it be that he's so used to his superstar status that he doesn't want to screw that up along with the cash that goes with it? He fights third and fourth rate fighters day in and day out. It's not hard for a talented fighter to look good against chumps and taylor made opponents. If I was a kid fan, I'd get bored. Eventually he needs to fight opponents with actual skill and power to validate his career.

It just seems to me that a talented and skilled fighter such as kid should try and show the world that he is the best fighter instead of just fighting japanese fighters. For example: the UFC has fighters from brazil, america, canada, the UK, Russia, south america, japan etc. The kid can really prove himself in an arena such as that. We already know he can beat Japanese fighters. Possibly all of them.

Kid has fought a LOT of non-japenese fighters.
I take it you also think UFC is the biggest event in the world.
Kid has a contract in the new Pride FC.. DREAM. He also has one of the greatest records in all of MMA from fighting in Shooto, K-1 Heros and what not.
The thing that makes your idea obsolete is that UFC does not have a featherweight class, as Kid is an FW. However, he has fought in lightweight, way above his own size, and has been knocking out some strong world class competitors still.

I just noticed it recently on another video that after the ref stopped the genki fight he could barely get up and he even had to hang on to the ropes not to fall again. He was really KO'd, belive me. Good call from the ref.
