Why do aliens always have to do experiments and stuff? Why can't these little bastards just come down, help us with our technology or something and declare peace?

I just watched the movie and I can tell you, as a german, it's so hard to understand the older people but at all the movie isn't as bad as I excepted (because of the age). Only the ending is a bit too short...
According to Travis Walton, all this NEVER happened. The abusive behavior, the dragging of Travis through the corridors...etc. Although, he did say indeed that he had tried to fight them off. He managed to gain consciousness on the ship, and as he awoke, his blurry vision tuned in and he saw three aliens. He grabs a medical instrument on the table, and tries to fight them. They run out of the room, and he is left to his own curiosity.
It is becoming more known now that these 'aliens' are trying to create alien/human hybrids. There is evidence to suggest this over the years, and governemnts have been privvy to this.
By doing research into this subject there is more than enough evidence to suggest that this is really going on. There is more truth to this film then meets the eye.

(Take Battle L.A. for instance) Of course there could be hostile races, but if they are so evolved technologically, they should be just as evolved morally. Humanity is in nursery school when it comes to that. @nogero7 Animals have no concept of death, and are therefore not afraid of it. Why feel sorry for something that died when it wasn't afraid of death in the first place? I think you're generalising. Most lab tests involving animals don't so any damage to the animal. Most are, after all, out to find cures. To save human lives. Personally I value human life far more than animal life. Just my standpoint anyway...

If you're going to defend an animal, defend Dolphins, or Wales, or some other intelligent form of life that will actually benefit the planet. Other than a good food source, what use does an animal such as a chicken actually serve?

You don't necessarily need a concept of death to be afraid of it because fear is an emotional response based on instinct, not intellectual reasoning or understanding. Of course, I know you used criteria you thought animals would not meet just so you could reach the conclusion you wanted to.
