They slowed this song over the years. Unfortunately, the lyrics are still hard to hear, but in part that comes with live performance. Check out some of the performances in the late 70's just for comparison.
Awesome, being an avid Police fan I love anything that these boys do. I must say I enjoy the faster & more agressive version from their outlandos days. But this is still incredible! The Police reunion is incredible.
it's wayyyy slow and you can hear sting's dubbed-in backup vocals... but it's the friggin POLICE!!! Awesome i was waiting for someone to put this show up!
Yeah... that's how they do it in a lot of concerts... they have backing tracks that add to their songs (like stings backup vocals) or to synch up with the lights and screens and stuff. How else would the lights flash exactly on beat all the time? I wish that they wouldn't... but who cares?

I am pretty sure the backround vocals are andy, I could be wrong though

I don't think so... i think he's singing but i remember when i was at the 10/31 show in ny you could hear sting's voice singing harmonies
CaptainLennon23 4 years ago
hmmm, after listining again, I can hear stings backing vocals pretty clearly, they should have just let Andy and Stewart do all of the backing vocals

I hear sting too. Heard him in UK ding his own backing vocals. Don't know how they do that - must restrict the song - no jamming etc?
